​PORTAL - On the morning of November 16, at the Administrative Center of Binh Duong province, Mr. Nguyen Van Loi - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Delegation of the National Assembly Deputies chaired an online briefing between the Provincial Steering Committee for Pandemic Prevention and Control and the Steering Committees of districts, towns and cities on the Covid-19 situation in the province.

The pandemic is under control

As reported by the Department of Health, in the past 07 days (November 08-15, 2021), the number of F0 detected in the community decreased by 38.1% compared to the previous week, with an average of only 59 cases per day recorded. Most of the outbreaks in the community have been controlled; the number of new cases in the week was mainly detected in the lockdown and quarantine areas (accounting for 72%).

Regarding treatment, the province stratifies according to a 3-level model to reduce the load on provincial treatment facilities. At the same time, coordinating F0 among 03 tiers. Currently, 19 areas and facilities for treating Covid-19 patients and 01 concentrated quarantine area have been converted into treatment area on the tier 1, with the number of beds in the province currently meeting the maximum treatment capacity for 18,116 beds.

In the past 07 days, there have been positive developments in the collection and treatment. The number of F0 discharged from the hospital is more than the number of new F0 cases. Specifically, in the week, there were 4,795 new cases, 5,317 recovered and discharged from hospital. There were 52 deaths, down 27.8% from last week. The number of patients moving from the tier 2 to tier 3 was 47, down 2.1% compared to the previous week; 234 severe patients required mechanical ventilation, a decrease of 21.2% compared to the previous week.

Vaccination for workers

As of November 15, 2021, the province has injected 4,166,568/4,601,390 doses of the distributed Covid-19 vaccine (2,410,580 doses of the 1st dose and 1,755,988 doses of the 2nd dose). 117,115 doses of vaccine have been administered to subjects of 12-17 year olds (of which 80,880 doses are for 15-17 year olds and 36,235 doses for 12-14 year olds).

The province has established 153 mobile medical stations, including 31 mobile medical stations in industrial parks and clusters (with 128 doctors). On average, mobile health stations provide advice and guidance on home health care for 868 people every day.

Safe adaptation in new situation

Reporting at the meeting, localities said that they had basically controlled the pandemic, and at the same time implemented flexibly and effectively the goal of Covid-19 prevention and control, economic and social development, and safe adaptation in the new situation.

According to Mr. Doan Hong Tuoi - Chairman of Tan Uyen town People's Committee, the pandemic situation in the area has been controlled, the town has also implemented a variety of solutions to adapt to the new situation; the entire town has established 1,780 Covid-19 community groups at the boarding houses to manage F0 at home quite effectively, so far Tan Uyen has no cases of F0 deaths at home.

For Ben Cat Town, up to now, in the town, 70% of enterprises outside the industrial park and 94% of the enterprises in the industrial park have resumed operations. In the coming time, the town will continue to review and focus on immunization coverage in the community; closely monitor the pandemic situation for timely handling; coordinate with the Industrial zones Authority to propagate pandemic prevention and control to workers.

Concluding the meeting, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Loi emphasized that the pandemic situation was still under control, flexibly meeting the task of implementing the dual goal of both pandemic prevention and control and economic recovery and development. In order to develop production, it is necessary to prevent and control the pandemic well, so one of the top priorities in the coming time is to fight the pandemic with the following solutions: Managing, detecting and treating F0; consolidating and fully equipping with necessary conditions for oxygen, ambulances for mobile medical stations, establishing mobile medical stations with a scale of 01 station/15,000 people, etc. In the coming time, it is necessary to have an adaptive health communication campaign in pandemic prevention and control to create conditions for everyone to access healthcare right from the grassroots.

The Secretary noted that in this period, it is necessary to continue to reduce the mortality rate, so the Health branch must take care of each case, ensure sufficient human resources, and rearrange the system of treatment facilities; equipped with enough medicines, oxygen, enough means, human resources and budget to serve pandemic prevention and control. Regarding vaccines, it is necessary to quickly reach 100% of the 2nd dose; strengthen inspection of the Health branch's detection and treatment management system, etc.
