Overview of the working session
At the working session, leaders of LEGO Manufacturing Viet Nam Co., Ltd shared with provincial leaders the operational status of the factory during the trial phase and preparations for the factory's inauguration ceremony in early April 2025. Mr. Jesper Hassellund Mikkelsen emphasized that the LEGO factory project in Binh Duong has been implemented on schedule and is the fastest project in terms of progress among LEGO factories of the same scale. This achievement is attributed to the support of central ministries, departments, and Binh Duong province. He expressed his hope that Binh Duong provincial leaders will continue to accompany, create favorable conditions, and promptly address any difficulties and obstacles during the company's operation.

Mr. Nguyen Van Loi – Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee congratulated LEGO on completing the project on schedule and announced that it will be officially inaugurated on April 9. The Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that LEGO is the first carbon-neutral factory in Viet Nam with a total investment of over 1.3 billion USD. Therefore, the province's departments, agencies, and localities should pay attention to supporting and creating favorable conditions for LEGO to achieve this goal. The Secretary assigned the Provincial People's Committee to complete a report on resolving LEGO's recommendations regarding electricity and fire prevention and fighting by March 30, 2025, and to work with ministries and sectors to immediately remove any obstacles. The Provincial Party Secretary also expressed his delight in looking forward to the official operation of the LEGO system, with the participation of Vietnamese government leaders. He believes that LEGO will operate its production and business smoothly and effectively, and continue to invest in expanding production in Binh Duong.
