At the ceremony, Singapore's Prime Minister Lawrence Wong and Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, along with leaders from ministries, sectors, and localities of both Viet Nam and Singapore, witnessed the signing of Memoranda of Understanding between Sembcorp Development and its joint venture partner Becamex IDC, and various localities. These MOUs pertained to research, cooperation, and development of VSIP projects in the southern region of Binh Duong Province, as well as in the northern regions of Hai Phong City, Hung Yen Province, and Hai Duong Province.

The endorsement from the two countries' high-level leadership underscored VSIP's strategic role in bilateral and economic cooperation between Viet Nam and Singapore.

Alongside the MOUs was the groundbreaking ceremony for VSIP Thai Binh's 333-hectare project in the Thai Thuy district, Thai Binh province. With its strategic location within the developing industrial ecosystem of Northern Viet Nam, VSIP Thai Binh is positioned to become a key satellite industrial park, supporting the network of major manufacturers and suppliers in high-value sectors such as electronics, precision engineering, and renewable energy.
Established in 1996, VSIP is founded on the joint economic cooperation platform of the Vietnamese and Singaporean governments. VSIP projects are implemented through a joint venture between Viet Nam's Becamex IDC and Sembcorp Development, a subsidiary of Sembcorp Industries, Singapore. VSIP Group is currently developing 20 urban, industrial, and service zones across Viet Nam with a total area of 12,000 hectares. VSIP supports over 1,000 customers from 30 countries and territories with a total investment of 23.4 billion USD.
