On behalf of the provincial leadership, Mr. Bui Minh Thanh - Vice Chairman of the PPC, provided an overview of the province's socio-economic situation. Binh Duong is known as the industrial capital of Vietnam, with many impressive development achievements. In 2024, the province's GRDP grew by 7.48%. The average per capita income reached nearly 183 million VND, the highest in the country. To date, the province has attracted 4,430 foreign investment projects with a total registered capital of 42.5 billion USD from 65 countries and territories. Among them, China ranks first with 1,806 projects, totaling over 11.5 billion USD in capital.
The Vice Chairman of the PPC stated that, according to the Provincial Master Plan, Binh Duong aims to become a centrally-controlled city by 2030; and an international-scale industrial and service center by 2050. In the industrial development orientation, the province prioritizes attracting investment in high-tech, less labor-intensive, environmentally friendly industries that create high added value, especially the semiconductor, green economy, and circular economy industries.

Expressing his impression with the development of Binh Duong Province, Mr. Li Jun - Deputy Director of Liaoning Department of Commerce, noted the similarities between the development of Binh Duong and Liaoning. Liaoning is a province with one of the most developed economies in Northeast China, with strengths in heavy industry and high-tech industry. Notably, Liaoning's semiconductor industry ranks 3rd in China. Liaoning also has a strong focus on education and training with 114 universities, including specialized universities providing high-level training. Mr. Li Jun expressed his desire to cooperate with Binh Duong Province in areas of strength and in line with the development orientation of both sides, such as high-tech industry and scientific and technological research and development. He will introduce Liaoning enterprises to explore investment in manufacturing factories in Binh Duong Province.
