PORTAL - On the morning of December 12, at the Administrative Center of Binh Duong province, Mr. Nguyen Van Loi - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Leader of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation received Mr. Ito Naoki - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Japan to Viet Nam visiting and working with Binh Duong province.

Also receiving were Mr. Mai Hung Dung - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and leaders of provincial departments and branches.


Overview of the meeting

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Van Loi – Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee welcomed Mr. Ito Naoki to visit and work in Binh Duong province. At the same time, he introduced some typical features of the province.

The Provincial Party Secretary said that Binh Duong currently has 29 industrial parks with an area of 12,798 hectares (of which 26 industrial parks have been put into operation) and 12 industrial clusters with an area of 815 hectares. The province has planned, built, and developed the Industrial-Urban-Service Complex with a total area of over 4,196 hectares, including High-tech industrial parks, commercial and service parks, and new urban areas. Particularly, 1,000 hectares are planned to build and develop Binh Duong New City.

Accumulated as of November 30, 2024, the whole province has 4,377 foreign investment projects with a total registered capital of more than 42 billion USD. Binh Duong currently ranks 2nd in the country in attracting foreign investment capital after City. Ho Chi Minh.

Japan currently ranks 2nd among 65 countries and territories with investment projects in Binh Duong with 357 investment projects and a total capital of nearly 6 billion USD. It is mainly in the field of manufacturing electronic components, electronic circuits and chips, automobile assembly, iron and steel, supporting industries, commercial services, etc.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee committed that the provincial government will always strive to accompany and create favorable conditions for foreign investors. Particularly, Japanese enterprises successfully produce and do business in Binh Duong. We hope that the Ambassador will be a bridge to bring Japanese businesses to Binh Duong for investment cooperation and contribute to strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership between Viet Nam and Japan.

Mr. Ito Naoki thanked the Binh Duong provincial government for always paying attention, accompanying, and creating favorable conditions to support Japanese investors in the province. The Ambassador committed that during his term he will promote and connect Japanese businesses to access investment in Binh Duong province. At the same time, it needs to strengthen people-to-people exchanges, cultural exchanges, and educational cooperation and contribute to deepening the relationship between the two countries Viet Nam and Japan.
