The conference was an opportunity for the Binh Duong enterprise community to interact, exchange, and access more information and trends about digital transformation and green transformation in Viet Nam and globally. At the same time, it was a chance for them to update support policies and future directions of the province in the 4.0 Technology Revolution.
Overview of the conference
Speaking at the opening of the conference, Vice Chairman of the PPC Nguyen Van Danh emphasized that enterprise development is the "health" of the economy. Over the past time, Binh Duong province has directed to accelerate the implementation of digital transformation in the government system from the provincial level to the grassroots level. At the same time, it has increased encouragement and support for enterprises, focusing on raising awareness and digital transformation capacity of agencies and enterprises in the province.
In addition, through provincial planning and supporting policies, Binh Duong has advocated and encouraged enterprises located outside industrial parks and clusters in the South to change their functions and relocate to those in the North of the province, with priority given to attracting high-tech industries that are less labor-intensive and possess highly automated and intelligent technologies, etc.
In the next stage, along with the digital transformation trend and Viet Nam's commitment to the sustainable development of the world (Net zero), it is necessary to change the green growth model in enterprises.
Provincial leaders hoped that, through the conference, enterprises in the province, especially those small and medium-sized enterprises, would have multi-dimensional and profound perspectives on the "Dual Transformation" trend. Thereby, enterprises would have useful information to promote the transformation process to improve business efficiency and enhance competitiveness.
Binh Duong province wishes to receive comments, recommendations, and proposals from enterprises and entrepreneurs so that the province can promptly adjust and supplement policies to more practically support digital transformation in the current difficult global economic and political context, for the goal of sustainable development - contributing economic and social development of Binh Duong province in particular and the country in general.

Sharing about the "Dual Transformation" trend, Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Director of the Enterprise Development Agency, MPI, said that currently, domestic enterprises, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, are facing many difficulties in implementing the goals of digital transformation, green growth, and sustainable development. Digital transformation, innovation, technology transfer, and application have been identified by the Party and Government as a top priority, an important driving force to promote growth and sustainable development, and improve national competitiveness, strive for the goal of the digital economy accounting for 20% of GDP by 2025 and 30% of GDP by 2030.
Over the past time, global issues such as climate change and environmental resources have also created challenges for enterprises in Viet Nam and around the world. To adapt to these new requirements, enterprises must transition to a more sustainable business model. Combining digital transformation with green transformation, also known as "Dual Transformation", is a solution to that development trend, helping enterprises not only ensure business goals but also contribute to realizing sustainable development goals and using their resources more effectively.

Enhance "Double Transformation" support for enterprises
Viet Nam has recognized that innovation is an objective requirement, strategic choice, and top national priority for rapid and sustainable development. Therefore, many policies and support programs have been issued for enterprises to access and enhance digital transformation.
Sharing about policies and programs to support enterprises in digital transformation, Mr. Le Minh Chien - Enterprise Development Agency, MPI said that the total central budget allocated to support small and medium-sized enterprises in 2024 is 140 billion VND according to the provisions of the Law on Support for Small and Medium-sized enterprises. It is expected to support training for more than 8,000 enterprises, including face-to-face and online training, consulting, and application support for digital transformation solutions for more than 800 enterprises. At the same time, it would support up to 50% of the value of real estate consulting contracts, up to 50 million VND/contract/year for small enterprises; 100 million VND/contract/year for medium enterprises; support 50% of costs for enterprises to rent and buy digital transformation solutions, maximum 20 million VND/year/micro-enterprise, 50 million VND/year/small enterprise and 100 million VND/year/medium enterprise.

On January 7, 2021, the Minister of Planning and Investment approved the Program to support enterprises in digital transformation for the 2021-2025 period to support the promotion of digital transformation in enterprises through integrating and applying digital technology to improve production and business efficiency, enhance capacity and competitive advantage, and create new values for enterprises. Thereby, striving to reach 100% of enterprises accessing information from the Program and improving knowledge about digital transformation; 100 typical successful enterprises in digital transformation from "doing digital" to "being digital"; 100,000 enterprises receiving support from the Program to form a network of experts including organizations and individuals consulting, providing digital transformation solutions, etc.
