PORTAL - On the morning of March 08, Mr. Nguyen Van Loi - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputes surveyed and inspected the progress of implementing key traffic projects in Thuan An City, including Ring Road No.3 and upgrading and expanding National Highway 13.

Accompanied by Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha - Member of the Provincial Standing Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee (PPC), and leaders of departments, committees, branches, and Thuan An City.

The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee came to survey the Ring Road No.3 project at the Binh Goi bridge location (An Son commune, Thuan An city).

Reporting to the delegation, the leaders of the Transportation Works Construction Investment Project Management Authority said that the Ring Road No.3 project passing through Binh Duong province was implemented very quickly and on schedule. The project's construction and installation packages are being constructed urgently. To date, disbursement for site clearance compensation has reached nearly 90%. To continue to facilitate project construction, the Provincial Traffic Works Construction Investment Project Management Board hoped that Thuan An City would continue to coordinate well in clearing compensation and handing over 100% of the project site.

Ring Road No.3 is more than 76 kilometers long, passing through Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, and Long An with 4 lanes and a cross-section width of 19.75 meters. The project has a total investment of about 75,378 billion VND from the central and local budgets. The project was implemented in 2023 and is expected to be completed and put into operation in 2026.

Ring Road No.3 section through Binh Duong province has its starting point at Tan Van intersection, ending point at Binh Goi bridge with a total route length of about 26.6 kilometers, including two projects: Component project No.5 (construction) and Component project No. 6 (compensation, support, and resettlement). The total project investment is 19,280 billion VND. The total land area of the project is about 129.32 hectares, with about 1,496 people affected.

Through reports and field surveys, the Provincial Party Secretary emphasized the importance of compensation and site clearance in project implementation. Therefore, the Provincial Party Secretary requested Thuan An City to coordinate closely to ensure site clearance compensation. The Transportation Works Construction Investment Project Management Authority and contractors continue to promote results during the past time, "overcoming sun and rain", deploying "3 shifts, 4 crews" to accelerate progress, and striving to complete the project ahead of schedule.

Construction units urgently complete the project

After surveying the Ring Road No.3 project, the provincial leaders' delegation met with households in Vinh Phu ward (Thuan An city) affected by the compensation and clearance of the project to upgrade and expand National Highway 13. Here, the provincial leaders listened to people share their difficulties and presented several recommendations related to compensation and clearance for the project to upgrade and expand National Highway 13. Leaders of departments, branches, and Thuan An City have specifically responded to each petition of the people within their authority.

According to the report, the project to upgrade and expand National Highway 13 through Thuan An City has handed over 95%. Particularly, the section from Vinh Phu welcome gate to Ong Bo bridge, 4.9 kilometers long, had 36 households completely cleared. Currently, Thuan An City is approving payments for the remaining cases and mobilizing people to receive the amount. At the same time, ensuring resettlement and stabilizing people's lives in new places. It is expected that the project site clearance will be completed in the first quarter of 2024.
