The year of the Tiger 2022 has passed with many difficulties and challenges, especially the complicated developments of the world economic - political situation, which have a negative impact, greatly affecting all aspects of life, economy - society.
But with the solidarity, joint effort and consensus of the entire Party Committee, government and people; Binh Duong province has achieved many important and comprehensive results and achievements in all fields.
Highlights are: Gross regional domestic product (GRDP) in 2022 increased by 8.02%.
- The province's total import and export turnover reached more than 60 billion USD, of which the trade surplus reached 9.2 billion USD.
- The budget revenue reached nearly 70,000 billion VND, exceeding 13% of the assigned estimate.
- Binh Duong continued to be a reliable destination for domestic and foreign investors when the province attracted foreign investment capital with more than 3.14 billion USD. Domestic investment attraction also reached more than 100,000 billion VND (equivalent to nearly 4.3 billion USD). This is the highest level of domestic and foreign investment attraction in recent years.
- Although the economy still faces many difficulties after the Covid-19 pandemic, the total investment in social development increased by 14.8% over the same period.
Binh Duong continued to be evaluated by the Intelligent Community Forum as one of the TOP 7 communities with typical Smart City development strategies in the world.
Binh Duong has effectively performed the tasks of the Prime Minister's Project 06, we have contributed to the effective implementation of the construction of the National population database, the issue of citizen identification and electronic identification codes, etc., successfully piloted the digitization model of civil registration and social security records.
In the context of the difficult economic situation in the country and the world, the province has basically solved the social security policies well, especially for those affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, taking care of Tet for beneficiaries under preferential treatment policy and workers in difficulty; maintained stability of national defense - security, social order and safety and organized many meaningful activities on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Binh Duong province's construction and development.
These results are important drivers of trust reinforcement; creating favorable conditions for Binh Duong province to develop steadily. Binh Duong continues to be evaluated as the third largest economy in the country with a scale of nearly 500,000 billion VND.

The achievements in difficulties and challenges of 2022 are the result of great efforts, solidarity, joint effort, and togetherness to overcome difficulties and challenges of the entire political system, people and enterprise community of the province.
