At the ceremony, Mr. Vo Van Minh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the PPC gave a speech to review the heroic tradition of the nation, showing the respect and gratitude of the Party Committee, the government and the people of Binh Duong province for great contributions of heroes and martyrs, war invalids, sick soldiers, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and family of people who have contributed to the revolution for the cause of national liberation, construction and defense of the Fatherland. Upholding the tradition of "When drinking water, think of its source", Party committees, authorities, mass organizations, enterprises and all classes of people in Binh Duong province have made great efforts in the work of "Gratitude", taking care of policy beneficiaries, ensuring that all families under preferential treatment policy have a standard of living equal to or better than the average standard of living compared to the people in their place of residence on the basis of combining 3 resources: The State, the community and the individual beneficiaries of the policy to rise up on their own.

Achieving that result, along with the attention and care of all branches and levels, is mainly thanks to the try and efforts of war invalids, sick soldiers and martyrs' relatives who have overcome pain and loss, overcome illnesses caused by recurrent wounds, are still optimistic, love life, do not endure poverty, rise to build a life for themselves. Many people who have become good producers and entrepreneurs continue to devote their energies to enriching the homeland and the country, actively participate in the work of "gratitude", reducing poverty, creating jobs for local workers, worthy of being a model citizen, an exemplary revolutionary family, a typical example for the young generation to follow.
Practically celebrating the 75th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, Chairman of the PPC requested all levels, branches, agencies, units, enterprises and people in the province to continue to strongly promote the tradition of when drinking water, think of its source, and gratitude; step up the care of life for the families of martyrs, war invalids, families under preferential treatment policy, people with both material and spiritual merits by the most practical and specific activities, worthy of Uncle Ho's advice: "War invalids, sick soldiers, military families, and martyrs' families are those with meritorious services to the Fatherland and people. Consequently, we owe a duty of gratitude, love, and care to them". That is the deep gratitude of the compatriots, soldiers and people for the great merits of heroes, martyrs, war invalids and people with meritorious services to the revolution.

It is known that the whole province of Binh Duong currently has more than 64,000 people with meritorious services, including 2,219 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers (currently 30 mothers are still alive), 16,833 martyrs, 6,208 war invalids and sick soldiers of all grades, and 864 resistance activists imprisoned by the enemy, etc. Monthly, the province pays benefits to 7,447 subjects with an average budget of over 13.3 billion VND/month. In addition to the policies prescribed by the Central Government, Binh Duong has issued a number of additional support policies for people with meritorious services to the revolution from the provincial budget, such as: Resolution 08/2018/NQ-HDND dated July 20, 2018 on additional support for some people with meritorious services; Resolution no. 09/2018/NQ-HDND dated July 20, 2018 on support for mourning for some subjects in the province; Resolution no. 17/2020/NQ-HDND providing housing for people with meritorious services to the revolution in the province, contributing to taking care of the lives of those who have made meritorious services to the revolution. Every year, the province organizes visits and gives gifts to beneficiaries of social welfare during the traditional Tet holiday of the nation, celebrates the War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27) with a budget of hundreds of billions VND; provides free treatment for the Vietnamese heroic mother, war invalids and seriously sick soldiers when they are sick or when their injuries recur according to the middle and high regime; mobilizes organizations and individuals to receive life-long support of 100% of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers who are still alive; organize general health check-ups for all subjects who are people with meritorious services to the revolution; gives gifts to Vietnamese heroic mothers, seriously war invalids and sick soldiers from socialization sources; regularly pays attention to the construction and repair of gratitude houses for policy beneficiaries with housing difficulties, ensuring that 100% of policy beneficiaries have permanent houses. Besides, Binh Duong always considers the search and gathering of martyrs' remains an important and regular task, so it has focused on directing, investing funds and hundreds of thousands of labor days; continuously organizes the search for martyrs' remains; regularly embellishes, upgrades and repairs the system of martyrs' cemeteries in the province to be solid, civilized, clean and beautiful, worthy of being revolutionary traditional cultural works of high educational value.
