The meeting was online to 9 districts, towns and cities.
As reported by the Department of Health, in the first 6 months of 2022, the Covid-19 pandemic decreased sharply in all 3 criteria (cases, hospitalizations, deaths). The province has no more Covid-19 patients who need to be treated at hospitals.
Assessing the pandemic level in the past weeks, 91/91 communes, wards and towns are at level 1, the new normal. Over the past time, vaccination against Covid-19 has proven effective in reducing the risk of illness and death caused by Covid-19. However, people are no longer interested in vaccination, so the number of vaccines still in stock in the localities is very high. Specifically, the province still has more than 214,400 doses of vaccines of all kinds (Pfizer, Moderna and Verocell). While the vaccine supply is abundant, the vaccination rate is very low. The proportion of people aged 18 and over receiving the 3rd dose of Covid-19 vaccine was only 76.2%, and the 4th dose was 1.5% compared to the total population aged 18 years and over. The vaccination of 2 primary doses in children from 5 to 11 years old was also not satisfactory, the 1st dose reached 42.4%, the 2nd dose reached 11% compared to the total number of children available in the province.
Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha speaks at the conclusion of the meeting
Concluding the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha - Vice Chairman of the PPC requested units and localities in the next 3 days to focus on completely injecting the remaining vaccines for the following groups: Party members, officials, civil servants, public employees, armed forces and workers in the province. The Provincial Industrial Zones Authority supports localities to enter enterprises to inject workers. The Health branch cooperates with localities to establish fixed and mobile vaccination sites at schools and offices to provide injection services to the subjects. The Vice Chairman of the PPC suggested that branches, units and localities should promote the role of vanguard, exemplary pioneer of party members, officials, civil servants, public employees and armed forces. Heads of agencies and units must take responsibility if party members, officials, civil servants, public employees and the armed forces do not vaccinate against Covid-19.
