At the meeting, Vice Chairman of the PPC Nguyen Loc Ha briefly informed the delegation about Binh Duong's socio-economic development and investment attraction. Up to now, Korea is currently ranked 5th among 65 countries and territories investing in Binh Duong with 761 projects and a total investment capital of 3 billion 257 million USD. The main fields of investment are ancillary products for the automotive, medical, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and food processing industries, industrial production of textile and footwear products, etc. Some enterprises with large investment capital such as: Kolon Group, Kyung Bang Vietnam Company, Kumho Tire Vietnam Company, DCT Partners Vietnam, Lotte Vietnam Trading Center, etc.

Talking to provincial leaders, Mr. Lee Dong Ki said that in March 2021, KITA and COEX signed a contract with Becamex IDC Corp on the operation of the World Trade Center Binh Duong New City (WTC Binh Duong). WTC Binh Duong is the largest trade and exhibition center in Vietnam, with a total floor area of 22,000 m², including 11,679 m² of indoor exhibition space and 7,935 m² of outdoor exhibition space; plays an important role as an important infrastructure connecting business, culture and tourism between Korea and Vietnam, as well as a trade bridge, connecting Korean enterprises with Binh Duong in particular and Vietnam in general.
COEX will send management personnel with extensive practical experience in areas such as exhibition organization and infrastructure operation to Vietnam. These human resources will jointly manage from the overall planning of activities to the promotion strategy for WTC Binh Duong. In the near future, KITA and COEX plan to enhance the competitiveness of this venue, such as expanding exhibition content, organizing exhibitions in combination with online technologies.
