As reported, in the past 7 days (from April 11 to 17, 2022), the province recorded 1,077 cases of Covid-19 (down 60.3% from last week), an average of 154 new cases were announced per day; 9,202 cases of recovery, discharge, completion of treatment (down 25% from last week), an average of 1,315 cases of recovery, discharge and completion of treatment per day. From the last week of March until now, the death rate and the number of hospital admissions for treatment have been reduced to 3.4%. It is forecasted that in the last weeks of April and early May, the number of cases and hospital admissions will increase again but not significantly, still under control.
Regarding vaccination, accumulated up to now, the province has vaccinated 377,832 doses for children aged 12 -17 years old. In which 1st dose: 199,101 doses (reaching 119.63% of the population); 2nd dose: 178,731 doses (reaching 99.3% of the population and 89.77% compared to the 1st dose). People 18 years of age and older have received 6,098,441 doses. Specifically, 1st dose: 2,472,209 doses; 2nd dose: 2,034,758 doses; 3rd dose: 1,591,474 doses (reaching 81.8% of the population and 80.2% compared to the 2nd dose).
On April 17, 2022, Binh Duong vaccinated 8,865/20,695 children in grade 6 at schools in the province, reaching 42.8%, the number of doses entered into the Immunization System: 4,414/8,865 doses, reaching 50.3%.

The Department of Health continues to carry out the Covid-19 vaccination campaign for children 5-11 years old in the area, and vaccinate the 1st, 2nd and 3rd doses for all remaining people in Binh Duong province or people from other provinces coming to Binh Duong to work in April 2022. At the same time, developing a plan for the 4th dose vaccination. It is expected that after August 30, 2022, the State will not provide vaccines, but organize vaccination in the form of services. He requested the Department of Information and Communications to coordinate with other branches to quickly process and review all the province's Covid-19 vaccination data to upload to the National Immunization Management System in accordance with the actual data vaccinated in Binh Duong. The Department of Health quickly rearranges mobile medical stations according to the actual situation in the locality. The Provincial Industrial Zones Authority develops a plan to vaccinate the 3rd dose for the remaining workers in industrial parks, makes specific statistics on the number of workers who have not been vaccinated the 3rd dose in each factory, surveys the demand for vaccination plans at the factory or the locality where the workers reside, and must promptly terminate the 3rd dose vaccination for remaining workers in factories and enterprises. Studying on administrative sanctions for those who have not received the 3rd dose vaccination. After the vaccination, the province will organize inspection groups at factories and enterprises.
