At the conference, on behalf of the Provincial Standing Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Minh awarded the Decision of Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee appointing Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Lan Hieu - Deputy Head of Cardiology Department, Hanoi Medical University, Director of Hanoi Medical University Hospital to concurrently hold the position of Director of Binh Duong General Hospital from March 01, 2022. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Lan Hieu is entitled to salary and allowances for concurrently holding position according to current regulations of the State.

Speaking at the conference, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Loi said, the appointment of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Lan Hieu to concurrently hold the position of Director of Provincial General Hospital is unprecedented in Binh Duong; this is a big turning point for the Health branch of the province so that from now on, Binh Duong Health will better meet the requirements of protecting and taking care of people's health. The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee thanked the positive contributions of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Lan Hieu in Binh Duong's pandemic prevention and control over the past time. At the same time, he hoped that Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Lan Hieu will continue to promote his professional qualifications and lead the Binh Duong Health branch to develop further in the coming time to turn Binh Duong into the Medical Center of the Southeast region.

Mr. Nguyen Lan Hieu was born in 1972, from My Hao town, Hung Yen province; is an Associate Professor, Doctor of Medicine, a doctor specializing in cardiology. He is a member of the 15th National Assembly, member of the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs Committee.
During the 4th Covid-19 pandemic wave in Binh Duong, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Lan Hieu was reinforced from Hanoi to Binh Duong. He has actively contributed to the effective pandemic prevention and control in the province, especially directly participating in the treatment of Covid-19 patients on the tier 3. While working in the pandemic center of Binh Duong, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Lan Hieu was assigned to be in charge of the Emergency resuscitation field hospital specializing in the treatment of severe Covid-19 patients on the tier 3 located at the Becamex International Hospital.
For his positive contributions to the Covid-19 prevention and control, he was awarded the Third-class Labor Medal by the State President.
