This year, due to the Covid-19 situation, non-essential mass gathering activities must be suspended, so the main part of the Festival was the Procession of the Cross, the procession of the Lady's palanquin with the participation of many unicorn-lion-dragon dance troupes, stilts, art troupes, floats, etc. at Lady Thien Hau Temple (Phu Cuong ward) will not be held. However, the procession of Lady Thien Hau palanquin in Binh Duong New City is still held on February 09, 2022.

Regarding the situation of enterprises, workers returning to work after Tet, Ms. Nguyen Thu Cuc said that by January 07, 2022, 115 enterprises returned to work with about 18,600 workers and employees (W&E), reaching 72.7%; 52 enterprises returned to work on February 08, and 84 enterprises returned to work from February 09. This year, there are about 15,000 W&E away from home staying in Thu Dau Mot to celebrate Tet. The branches, levels, grassroots trade unions of enterprises have had many activities to visit and give gifts to W&E who do not return to their hometown.
In order to prepare for students to return to school, on February 06, 2022, educational institutions organized a rapid antigen test for staff, teachers, 6th grade and primary school students before returning to school. Up to now, the rate of 1st Covid-19 vaccine dose for students aged 12-17 has reached 97.45%; 2nd doses has reached 95.78%. As of February 07, 2022, 53.02% of preschool children, 55.3% of preschool students and 63.9% of secondary school students in the city went back to school for face-to-face learning.
Regarding military recruitment in 2022, the city was assigned the target of 280 young people (including 245 military servicemen and 25 people's police officers) for 04 military units and 01 police unit. The city has issued orders to enlist 344 young people; prepared to take samples for testing for young people with orders to enlist; at the same time, prepared a brief ceremony to handover the troops in about 20 minutes.
For capital construction investment, in 2021, the value of capital allocation in Thu Dau Mot city reached 97.02% of the plan. The plan for public investment in 2022 is 1,148 billion 366 million VND, arranged for 62 projects and works; in which the provincial capital is nearly 896 billion VND and the decentralized capital according to the criteria is over 252 billion VND.
At the meeting, Thu Dau Mot City proposed to the province to issue a new Resolution to replace Resolution 17-NQ/TU dated November 14, 2016 on "Construction and development of Thu Dau Mot city in the direction of civilization, modernity, smart city in the 2016-2026 period and the following years"; on receiving and handing over Thu Dau Mot Park, implementing the Project of Tuong Binh Hiep Lacquer Village, etc.

Concluding the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Minh assessed that Thu Dau Mot City has actively contributed to the province to overcome the Covid-19 pandemic, gradually recovering the economy - society. Especially, the disbursement rate of public investment capital in 2021 of the city is quite high. Emphasizing that the Full Moon Festival in January is a major festival of Binh Duong in general and Thu Dau Mot City in particular, contributing to meeting the cultural and religious needs of the people, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the city to prepare carefully and ensure good pandemic prevention and control in organizing the festival. In addition, the handover of troops must ensure sufficient quantity and quality. Branches and levels in the city need to closely monitor and ensure pandemic prevention and control in schools when students return to face-to-face learning after Tet. The Chairman noted that the city must pay special attention to speeding up the disbursement of public investment right from the beginning of the year; consolidating the Steering Committee for the implementation of the Resolution to replace Resolution 17 and the Steering Committee for the Tuong Binh Hiep Lacquer Village Project, etc.
