Completing 3 doses of vaccines before Nham Dan Lunar New Year 2022

As reported by the Department of Health, in the past 7 days (from December 28, 2021 to January 03, 2022), the province had 756 new cases through RT-PCR test (down 16.9% from last week); averagely 108 cases per day; 14,157 cases of recovery, discharge, completion of quarantine (including rapid test cases), averagely 2,022 cases of recovery, discharge, completion of quarantine per day.

During the week, 159 cases of F0 were detected in the community, an average of 23 cases/day; 8.6% decrease compared to last week.

Regarding treatment, the province implements stratification according to a 3-level model to reduce the load on provincial treatment facilities, and at the same time coordinates F0 between the 3 tiers. The province currently has 18 areas and facilities to treat Covid-19 patients with 4,506 beds. In the past week, there were 611 cases of F0 hospitalized at treatment facilities (down 27.4% from last week).

In the coming time, the Department of Health will implement measures for safe and flexible adaptation and effective control over the pandemic situation. At the same time, preparing a plan to monitor, prevent and control the Covid-19 variant of Omicron according to the guidance of the Ministry of Health. Specifically, the Department will advise the Provincial People's Committee to issue a plan to prevent and control Omicron variant in the province, prepare treatment areas according to a 3-tier model to meet 4,000-5,000 cases/day, which can increase 8,000-10,000 cases/day or over 10,000 cases/day. At the same time, speeding up the progress of vaccinating 100,000 doses/day, completing the target of 100% of subjects receiving the 3rd dose in February 2022. Urgently reviewing and immediately giving injections for those who have not been vaccinated, have not had enough doses in the spirit of "going every alley, knocking door to door, checking every person to vaccinate".​

After listening to the Department of Health's report, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Loi assessed that Binh Duong is still controlling the pandemic very well, activities have returned to normal; the number of infections, the number of deaths has decreased, the number of home treatment cases has been contained and decreased compared to the previous week. However, the province determined that the pandemic prevention and control is still long-term and the entire political system continues to be firm and steadfast in fighting to create stability for socio-economic development, and the people have a happy and prosperous life.

In the coming time, the Secretary suggested that the local leaders must further promote the sense of responsibility, closely supervise the grassroots; focus on accelerating vaccination. The Secretary emphasized: "If we try to give the vaccination one day early, people will be protected one day early and must complete the 3rd dose before the Nham Dan Lunar New Year 2022."

At the same time, the Secretary requested to strengthen and consolidate the Health system at grassroots, district and provincial levels, to be equipped with enough medicines, oxygen, medical personnel, and to procure according to regulations. In particular, ensuring resources for pandemic prevention and control with the goal of reducing the number of cases and the number of deaths. Controlling the pandemic by information technology; especially in the field of trade and services.

Localities and units focus on taking care of the traditional New Year in the spirit of safety and thrift; minimize crowded activities, festivals, agencies do not organize Tet greetings. Mr. Pham Van Bay - Vice Chairman of Di An City People's Committee said that in the past week, the number of deaths and new cases of F0 decreased significantly. Currently, the city has only 39 F0 with severe symptoms; the city is focusing on trying to treat each case, minimizing the number of deaths. There are 3,642 F0 being managed and treated at home. The city has injected the 3rd dose to 42,000 people and will complete the 3rd injection plan before the Lunar New Year 2022. Regarding the plan in the coming time, Mr. Bay said that the city will continue to strictly manage and care for F0 at home, strengthen treatment, reduce deaths, and procure equipment in accordance with regulations and improve the quality of grassroots health care. At the same time, focusing on propaganda for people to raise their awareness of pandemic prevention and control, not panicking about the new variant, but also not being negligent and subjective.

At the same time, the city also established a team to check the operational efficiency at mobile medical stations.

Reporting at the meeting, Mr. Doan Hong Tuoi - Chairman of the People's Committee of Tan Uyen Town said, in Tan Uyen town, the number of new cases has decreased a lot compared to the previous period, now the town has 3,988 cases of home treatment, the number of deaths is low, an average of 2-3 days, there is a new death. In addition to the Polyclinic that directly injects vaccines, the town has also established mobile vaccination teams to go to their homes to give vaccinations, creating convenience for people. According to Mr. Tuoi's assessment, the operation of the town's mobile medical stations is working well, the town has also established a Team to inspect and point out the limitations and the mobile medical stations have also overcome.

To achieve the goal of completing 3 doses of vaccines before the Lunar New Year, Ms. Truong Thi Bich Hanh said that it is necessary to promote propaganda for people to understand the importance of the 3rd dose as the basis for prevention and control of new variant and volunteer for vaccination. On the other hand, localities need to organize vaccination sites to create convenience, people do not have to wait long, and do not affect work.
