Accordingly, Binh Duong proposed 12 key projects, including: Compiling the Binh Duong SC Project for the 2021 – 2026 period; Science and Technology Industrial Park; World Trade Center (WTC) Binh Duong New City; focusing on developing high-quality human resources, continuing to develop the Three-House model, building and connecting innovation ecosystems; promoting the development of logistics infrastructure by river and railway; deploying SC Operations Center; geographic information system (GIS) in Binh Duong province; promoting administrative reform; communication to position Binh Duong brand in the international arena; international connection, trade promotion; continuing to build and develop smart villages, etc.

In the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, in general, most of the programs and projects registered in the 2021 plan are delayed compared to expected, or even suspended. A few special projects have been upgraded and developed to promptly meet the needs of pandemic prevention and control such as the hotline system 1022, online learning, meeting and working programs. Some other projects had to convert their functions to serve pandemic prevention and control, such as the World Trade Center Binh Duong New City, which was requisitioned into a field hospital.

Mr. Nguyen Viet Long - Director of Binh Duong SC Office said that with the above new context, in the new normal, the development plan of Binh Duong SC in 2021 and in the coming time needs to be adjusted, focusing resources on key projects that are activating in order to promptly meet new needs of society, and at the same time create conditions for parties to coordinate and mobilize resources of the entire society for effective implementation. Encouraging public-private partnership, Three Houses (State - Entrepreneurs- Schools) cooperation, mobilizing resources of the entire society to join hands in implementing projects and programs.
From the achieved results and orientation in the coming time, Mr. Peter Portheine discussed and shared about the strategic process for the 2021 - 2025 period for Binh Duong to develop quickly and sustainably. According to Mr. Peter Portheine, in the 2016-2020 period, Binh Duong has implemented very well projects to build SC including: Training high-quality human resources; researching and developing science and technology; creating a business environment, starting a business and building the foundational elements of infrastructure, etc. Mr. Peter Portheine also proposed new strategies suitable to the reality of Binh Duong such as: Transitioning to a high-value (manufacturing) economy, implementing stronger digital transformation, e-commerce and logistics, administrative reform; identifying public investment projects in the Binh Duong SC plan that can be accelerated to promote public investment in infrastructure construction; restructuring the labor market, etc.
