Epidemic situation in Binh Duong Province on June 17, 2021

​PORTAL - According to the report of the Department of Health, until 2pm on June 17, 2021, Binh Duong recorded 12 new infected cases in the community (the Ministry of Health has not announced).

Specifically, there are 06 cases related to the outbreak in Tan Phuoc Khanh Ward, Tan Uyen Town; 04 cases in a company located in Binh Hoa Ward, Thuan An City (they had been quarantined before) and 02 cases in Binh Thang Ward, Di An City (the patient's wife and daughter were found positive on June 16, 2021).

The outbreak in Tan Phuoc Khanh Ward, Tan Uyen Town was detected on June 13, 2021, then it spread to the outbreak in a company located in Binh Hoa Ward, Thuan An City; Tan Vinh hiep Ward, Tan Uyen Town and Hiep An Ward, Thu Dau Mot City. Totally, there are 26 infected cases. The number of F1 and F2 cases is being updated. Authorities have locked down some areas in Quarter 7, Hiep An Ward, Thu Dau Mot City.

The outbreak in Binh Thang Ward, Di An City was detected on June 16, 2021. Up to now, 03 new cases have been recorded. The number of F1 and F2 cases is being updated. Di An City has locked down Alley 195/7/8, Quyet Thang Quarter, Binh Thang Ward from June 16, 2021.

From the 4th outbreak, Binh Duong has recorded 44 infected cases in the community, including 03 cases in Binh Quoi B, Binh Chuan Ward, Thuan An City; 08 cases in a company in Di An City; 03 cases in Ehome 4 Apartment, Vinh Phu Ward, Thuan An City; 26 cases related to the outbreak in Tan Phuoc Khanh Ward, Tan Uyen Town; 04 cases in a company in Thuan An City and 03 cases in Binh Thang Ward, Di An City. Binh Duong General Hospital are quarantining and treating 44 patients. The patients are currently in stable health.

Cumulatively, Binh Duong has recorded 89 infected cases including 32 Vietnamese citizens returning from abroad regulated by Military District 7, 06 foreign experts, 50 cases of infection in the community and 01 illegally imported case from Cambodia.

According to the Department of Health, the outbreak in Tan Phuoc Khanh Ward, Tan Uyen Town has spread to other areas in the province. The situation of the outbreak is extremely complicated and capable of spreading. At the same time, there are many other high-risk cases who travel from epidemic-affected localities to Binh Duong, especially from Ho Chi Minh City's outbreaks due to the massive number of workers and experts working and traveling between the cities. Therefore, the risk of disease continuing to penetrate and spread in the community is very high.

Binh Duong Authorities continue to strictly supervise the infected cases and the potential cases; deploy epidemic control stations and checkpoints at roads and gateways to Binh Duong province. Besides, strengthening the capacity for sampling, confirmatory testing and community screening testing; deploying the third phase of Covid-19 vaccine. Residents are requested to strictly follow epidemic prevention and control measures and comply with the 5K message of the Ministry of Health.
