Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Van Nam welcomes Mr. Sengphet Houngboungnuang - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao PDR
Expressing his pleasure when the Ambassador and his Wife visited the province, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Van Nam introduced the socio-economic features of Binh Duong province after more than 20 years of development. So far, Binh Duong has attracted more than USD 35 billion of foreign investment capital and ranked 3rd in the country. In the first 6 months of 2020, despite being affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, Binh Duong still well implemented the Prime Minister's direction to effectively prevent and control the Covid-19 pandemic, while maintained the economic growth with the growth rate of 6.73%.
On the basis of the friendly and cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Laos during the past years, Binh Duong also maintains an intimate relationship with the localities of Laos, especially Champasak province. Besides implementing the investment project of planting rubber trees, building a rubber latex processing plant system of Dau Tieng Viet Lao Rubber Joint Stock Company, Binh Duong also actively participates in social activities in Champasak and neighboring provinces. For the field of cooperation in training human resources, every year, Binh Duong trains and grants full scholarships to students of Champasak province studying in Binh Duong. To date, 84 full scholarships have been granted to Lao students. Binh Duong will continue to support and cooperate with Lao localities focusing on human resource training and will always accompany the development of Laos.

Responding to the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Sengphet Houngboungnuang thanked the leaders of Binh Duong province for receiving the delegation thoughtfully. Appreciating the dynamic and comprehensive development of Binh Duong, he attributed that it was due to the solidarity, consensus and the wise leadership of the leaders of Binh Duong province. He thanked Binh Duong province for supporting the provinces of Laos to develop, the Lao people to have stable jobs and increase income. He hoped that Binh Duong would continue to support the Southern provinces of Laos, especially in the fields of agricultural product processing, rubber latex processing, to support Lao students to study in Binh Duong. Simultaneously, in the coming time, cooperation will be developed for tourism between Binh Duong and the Southern provinces of Laos.
