BEGIC - Afternoon of March 19th, at Binh Duong provincial Administrative Center, Mr. Tran Van Nam - Member of Party Central Committee, Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Head of Provincial National Assembly Delegation welcomed Delegation of Viet Nam Electricity Group (EVN) headed by Mr. Duong Quang Thanh - Chairman of EVN's Members' Council.
At the meeting, Mr. Tran Van Nam, Secretary of Provincial Party Committee thanked for the interest of electricity industry in accompanying the development of Binh Duong over the past time.

Discussing with provincial leaders, Mr. Duong Quang Thanh wished Binh Duong would support and implement the program to effectively save electricity in operation, production and consumption, which will deploy by EVN in the coming time.
The Secretary of Provincial Party Committee affirmed that, Binh Duong is focusing on attracting selective investment, giving priority to high-tech and energy-saving industries, therefore, the provincial authorities will actively support the implementation of the program in the province.
On the same afternoon, Mr. Mai Hung Dung - Member of Provincial Standing Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee worked with EVN leaders on the situation of power supply and construction investment of electricity projects in Binh Duong province.
According to the report, EVN has ensured electricity supply to serve the province's socio-economic development and people's activities with a huge increase over the past time. Currently, the demand for additional electricity in Binh Duong province is about 2,200 MW and is supplied with electricity from the National Electricity System through 06 220kV substations located in the province with a total capacity of 3,500MWA. In addition, the provincial power grid has linked at 110kV voltage level with neighboring provinces such as Ho Chi Minh City, Tay Ninh, Binh Phuoc and Dong Nai. Regarding the 110kV grid, the province currently has 33 110kV substations with a total capacity of 3,413MVA. Commercial electricity in 2018 was 12.462 million kWh (up 13.4% compared to 2017), in which electricity supplied to industry - construction sectors with the proportion of 76.2%, growing by 14.4% over the same period etc.
Currently in the province, there are 02 projects under construction including: 500kV Tan Uyen substation and connection; 500kV Song May - Tan Uyen transmission line. Projects are being compensated and handed over.
Besides, there are currently 04 projects under construction investment, including: 500kV Duc Hoa - Chon Thanh transmission line; 220kV Ben Cat substation and connection; 220kV Chon Thanh - Ben Cat 2 transmission line; 220kV Tan Dinh 2 substation and connection; 220kV Lai Uyen substation and connection. Projects are expected to be completed in 2020 and 2021.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Mai Hung Dung - Standing Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee committed, Binh Duong authorities will continue to accompany, facilitate and support power units in the construction of electricity works according to the National Electricity Development Plan for the period of 2011-2020, taking into consideration until 2030 which approved by the Prime Minister. Along with that, departments, agencies and sectors closely coordinate with localities to solve problems related to compensation and ground clearance; shorten the implementation stage of projects and works.
