NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan visited and presented gifts to Binh Duong’s workers

​Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Member of Politburo, Chairwoman of National Assembly of Viet Nam attended the program "Tet sum vay" (Gathering in Tet holiday).

The event was also attended by Bui Van Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL); Tran Van Nam, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial NA deputy delegation; Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Committee; leaders of provincial departments and 200 needy labourers who are working in Binh Duong – based enterprises.

Addressing the event, NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan emphasized that national socio-economic achievements were contributed by workers nationwide in general and those in Binh Duong in particular.

She highly evaluated the idea of VGCL, Binh Duong Labour Confederation to take good care of labourers with many practical programs including the "Tet sum vay" (Gathering in Tet holiday) and "Tet doan vien" (Tet of reunion) programs. Binh Duong's authorities, provincial Labour Confederation and enterprises have well organized various programs to take care of spiritual and material lives of workers.

The NA Chairwoman urged party committee, government and enterprises to continue taking care of the lives of workers, especially during Lunar New Year so that workers would have opportunities to return home for Tet with their families and those who stay in Binh Duong will have good time during Tet. She also appealed workers to work and live in accordance with labour laws, to improve working skills and production capacity so as to produce high value products.

On the occasion of Lunar New Year, The NA Chairwoman expected Binh Duong's authorities and provincial Labour Confederation would continue support labourers and become a link between workers and Party, Government while wish​ing them good health, happiness.

The NA Chairwoman offered 95 packs of gifts to needy workers, each valued at VND 1 million. She also presented gifts to workers who would stay in Binh Duong for Tet.

The program "Tet sum vay" (Gathering in Tet holiday) took place from 25th to 27th January 2019 at provincial Centre for Culture - Sports and Labour Union with many significant activities including offering gifts to needy workers, performing music and songs, playing traditional games, stores of social welfare with preferential prices from 15% to 45%.
