At the meeting, Ms. Nguyen Truong Nhat Phuong - Vice Chairwoman of the Binh Duong Provincial People's Council briefly announced the socio-economic development situation of Binh Duong province.
Accordingly, Binh Duong is a province in the Southeast region and located in the Southern Key Economic Region of Viet Nam. The province's total GRDP always achieves a high growth rate compared to the whole country and was honored by ICF as the Top 1 community with a typical smart city development strategy in the world. In 2023, the total product in the province increased by 6%, and GRDP per capita reached 172 million VND. Export turnover reached 31.8 billion dollars, and import turnover reached 23.1 billion USD ranking third in the country in attracting foreign investment capital.

Among the 65 countries and territories having investment projects in Binh Duong province, China has about 1,700 projects with a total investment capital of about 10.4 billion dollars. Currently, Binh Duong has also put into operation an international intermodal train bringing goods directly from Binh Duong to China. This is the potential and advantage for Binh Duong and other Chinese localities to have more trade conditions and economic cooperation.
Representatives of leaders of Binh Duong Provincial People's Council also presented some outstanding results in the activities of the People's Council for the term 2021 - 2026 as well as discussed more about the organizational structure and main activities of the People's Council currently.

Mr. Wei Xiaoming - Vice Chairman of Anhui Provincial People's Council congratulated the outstanding development of Binh Duong province in recent times. He said that the purpose of this delegation's visit and working with Binh Duong is to implement the agreements that Mr. Xi Jinping – President of China and Mr. Nguyen Phu Trong - General Secretary reached during their visit to Viet Nam last year. That is to promote the strategy of building the "Belt and Road" policy and the strategy of "Two Corridors, One Economic Belt" at the local level. It is necessary to maximize its economic strengths, complement each other, accelerate infrastructure connection, strengthen cooperation in the field of digital economy, and green development, promote people-to-people exchanges and exchanges, and expand new points for bilateral cooperation.
To briefly announce the socio-economic development situation of Anhui province, Mr. Wei Xiaoming said that Anhui is located in the "Belt and Road" area - one of the most developed economic regions. It is also China's most creative and innovative area. Especially, the fields of science and education have developed strongly ranking 7th in China in terms of creativity and scientific research.
Through the meeting, Mr. Wei Xiaoming proposed several cooperation activities between Binh Duong Province and Anhui Province such as: Building a friendly cooperative relationship through signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), promoting cooperation in the automotive industry, and promoting extensive cooperation in all fields.
Appreciating this visit of the delegation, Mr. Vo Van Minh - Chairman of the PPC said that friendly cooperation between Binh Duong Province and Anhui Province is very necessary in the current context. Binh Duong province has some similarities in economic development with Anhui province, so he believes that friendly cooperation between the two sides will bring positive results.

Mr. Vo Van Minh - Chairman of the PPC agreed with Anhui province's proposed cooperation contents, and he said that currently, Binh Duong is focusing on developing a green economy, circular economy, energy conversion, innovation ecosystem, science-technology, etc. Therefore, he hopes Anhui province will support Binh Duong in developing the above fields and contribute to building Binh Duong into a smart and modern urban area.
