At the meeting, Mr. William Nathan Franklin thanked the Leader of Binh Duong province for the hospitality. He said that Pacifico Energy has presented in Viet Nam since 2017 with 02 typical projects: the 40 MW Mui Ne Solar Power Plant in Binh Thuan and the 30 MW Sunpro Wind Power Plant in Ben Tre. In the future, the Group plans to invest 15-20 billion USD in renewable energy projects including a 6 GW offshore wind power portfolio.

Mr. William Nathan Franklin wished to learn more about the Binh Duong Provincial Master Plan for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, especially in the field of renewable energy so that they have a basis for investing in solar power projects in industrial parks of Binh Duong province.

Informing the Delegation, the Standing Vice Chairman of the PPC Mai Hung Dung said the Provincial Master Plan aims for Binh Duong to become a centrally-governed city by 2030, and a center for modern industrial and service development, leading in science – technology and innovation, sustainable development, climate change adaptation, and people's life development.
By 2050, Binh Duong aims to become a modern industrial and service center of international stature, a highly competitive locality in the global value chain, improving people's living standards, and attracting talent and high-quality human resources.
Binh Duong promotes regional cooperation and development, especially in the fields of transportation, science-technology, and development space. It would innovate the development of the ecosystem, towards smart, green urbanization and sustainable development and accelerate the establishment of a centralized information technology park and a 220-hectare high-tech park in New City.
Regarding rooftop solar power systems, as of August 31, 2024, there are 4,007 rooftop solar power systems in the Binh Duong with a total capacity of 770.1 MWp. This includes 3,996 externally purchased systems with a total capacity of 769.7 MWp and 1 internal system with a total capacity of 364.37 kWp.
