According to Mr. Do Xuan Lap - Chairman of Viet Nam Timber and Forest Product Association, in the context of the world economy still having many difficulties, Viet Nam's wood industry has shown signs of recovery and rapid development.

Data from the General Department of Customs shows that in the first three months of 2024, Viet Nam's export of wood and wood products reached 3.4 billion USD, up 19% over the same period in 2023. In particular, the export value of wood products reached 2.3 billion USD, up 22.9% over the same period last year. This shows that consumption demand in major markets such as the United States, China, Canada, the UK, and EU countries is recovering strongly, bringing optimism to Viet Nam's export wood industry.

Binh Duong province's woodworking industry alone is known as the "capital" of the country's wood industry, contributing nearly 50% of Viet Nam's wood export turnover and 19% of the province's GRDP.
