As expected, LEGO Group (Denmark) will hold the Groundbreaking Ceremony of the Group's factory construction project on the morning of November 03, 2022 at Vietnam - Singapore III Industrial Park (VSIP III) with the attendance of leaders of the Danish Royal Family, the Government of Vietnam, Ministries, central branches, Binh Duong province and LEGO partners and customers.
After listening to the LEGO representative's report, the departments and branches of Binh Duong province exchanged and commented on the content of coordination work to make the event a success.
As reported by Binh Duong Portal, LEGO Group has chosen Binh Duong's VSIP III as the site to build the Group's first factory worth 1 billion USD in Vietnam. On December 08, 2021, in Hanoi, under the witness of Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh, LEGO Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding with VSIP Joint Venture Company to build a new factory in Binh Duong with an area of about 44ha. Immediately after the signing ceremony, leaders of departments, branches and localities of Binh Duong province and VSIP has concentrated all resources to speed up the process of granting investment certificates, clearance and leveling to hand over to LEGO Group to build the factory according to the signed schedule. On March 19, 2022, at the Groundbreaking ceremony of VSIP III, Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee awarded the Investment Certificate to LEGO Group. At the same time, leaders of Binh Duong province went to survey the leveling progress to hand over to LEGO Group, the two sides also held meetings to promptly remove difficulties and obstacles, creating all conditions for LEGO to implement the project according to the committed schedule.

Provincial leaders also surveyed the progress of upgrading and expanding DT.746 road, the section from Tan Thanh junction to Hoi Nghia junction in Bac Tan Uyen district to create favorable conditions for the circulation of goods as well as production and business of the factory.
It is known that this is LEGO's 6th factory in the world and 2nd in Asia with the expectation that it will help LEGO expand its global supply chain network, thereby responding flexibly and quickly to changes in consumer demand in each region.
