Speaking at the opening of the meeting, Mr. Pham Van Chanh - Member of Provincial Standing Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council emphasized that, in recent months, all levels, branches and the entire political system, enterprises and people of all classes in the province have made great efforts and determination in directing, operating, production and business activities to soon overcome difficulties and challenges, speed up the process of socio-economic recovery and development of the province. In the first 6 months of 2022, Binh Duong has held many important events and conferences, which have received deep attention from Central grovernment and regional leaders, which have positively impacted socio-economic development of the province, such as: Binh Duong was honored with ICF's Top7 Intelligent Communities of 2022; The scientific seminar "Keeping up the tradition, Binh Duong province - The journey of a quarter century: Achievements and Prospects"; The first meeting of the People's Councils of the provinces and cities in the Southeast region, 2021-2026 tenure; The Groundbreaking ceremony of Vietnam - Singapore III Industrial Park, etc. Thereby showing that our province has been developing dynamically, creatively and innovatively, for the purpose of striving to build Binh Duong province in the direction of a smart, civilized and modern city; determined to successfully complete the Resolution of the 11th Provincial Party Congress proposed.
However, the socio-economic situation of the province still has difficulties and limitations, which require that in the last 6 months of the year, all levels and branches need to further strengthen solidarity, efforts, strive to overcome difficulties, overcome limitations, successfully complete the Resolutions of the People's Council on the task of socio-economic development in 2022, continue to create momentum for sustainable development for the coming years.
Therefore, in this meeting, the Provincial People's Council will discuss, consider and decide on many important local contents, which are the basis for the PPC to operate and perform the tasks of socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security in the province. The Provincial People's Council will consider and evaluate the contents according to regulations, including: Report on the activities of the Standing Committee and the Committees of the Provincial People's Council, the PPC, the Provincial People's Procuracy, Provincial People's Court, Provincial Civil Judgment Enforcement Department; reports of the PPC on socio-economic situation; budget revenue and expenditure, state budget finalization; report on anti-corruption, thrift practice, and anti-waste; report on crime prevention and combat and law violations; report on the settlement results of complaints, denunciations and petitions of voters, etc.
The Provincial People's Council will consider and decide on the contents of socio-economic development, ensuring compliance with the regulations of the Central Government and the actual situation of the locality; consider and approve resolutions on the results of monitoring the situation and the results of the implementing support policies affected by the Covid-19 pandemic; regulate the multidimensional poverty line in Binh Duong province; support registration of intellectual property protection; list of public services using the state budget; Youth development strategy; Ben Cat urban development, etc.

The meeting will also consider and question in groups on important issues that directly affect people's lives and are of interest to deputies and voters. With the spirit of constantly improving the quality of questioning and answering activities, the Chairman of the meeting suggested that the deputies frankly ask questions and the respondents focus on solving the issues raised, clearly define roles and responsibilities and propose solutions to effectively solve the problems raised by deputies.
In addition, the Provincial People's Council will dismiss and elect additional members of the PPC for the 2021-2026 tenure to strengthen the organizational apparatus of the PPC.
