​​PORTAL - On the afternoon of June 15, the leader delegation of Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong province had a field visit and had a working session to propose investment in connecting transport infrastructure between the two localities.

Attending the meeting were Mr. Phan Van Mai - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee; Mr. Vo Van Minh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee (PPC) and leaders of the departments, committees, branches and localities of the two provinces and cities.

The leader delegation went to survey the reality of the Ho Chi Minh City - Chon Thanh Expressway passing through Go Dua - Doc Lap; Ring Road No. 3 at the intersection of Song Than and An Binh road.

Chairman of Binh Duong PPC Vo Van Minh survey to expand An Binh road section

At the meeting between the two localities, Thu Duc City proposed to invest in 05 key connection locations between Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong province. Specifically, Dao Trinh Nhat street - Thu Duc city, An Binh road - Di An city, with a length of 1.39 kilometers, in which the section through Di An city is 1.09 kilometers long, with a planned road width of 34m to facilitate the connection between the two provinces and cities.

DT.743B Road connects with Binh Chieu Road and Ho Chi Minh City - Chon Thanh Expressway and DT.743B Road in Thuan An City, with a length of more than 12 kilometers, of which the section through Binh Duong province is about 11.44 kilometers, with a planned road width of 60 meters.

The road section expected to launch the South Linh Trung Export Processing Zone No. 2 - Thu Duc city and Vinh Phu 32 road - Thuan An city is 2.5 kilometers long, of which the section through Binh Duong province is 2.1km long, with a planned road width of 23 meters.

The section of road N3 - Thu Duc city and Vinh Phu 41 road - Thuan An city is 2.6 kilometers long, of which the section through Binh Duong province is 2.3 kilometers long, with a road planning of 24m.​

The road section marked N1 - Thu Duc city and Binh Hoa 1 road - Thuan An city is about 1 kilometer long, of which the section through Thuan An city, Binh Duong is 850 meters long, and the investment is expanded along the planned road width of 26 meters.

At the same time, the two sides also agreed to speed up the progress of investment in 47 locations connecting Thu Duc City (Ho Chi Minh City) and Di An City (Binh Duong province); 06 locations connecting Thu Duc City (Ho Chi Minh City) and Thuan An City (Binh Duong Province) according to the planned project.

At the meeting, the leaders of the departments, branches and localities of the two provinces and cities discussed solutions to effectively implement the projects and proposed the direction of connecting waterways and roads between the two localities to contribute to the effectiveness of the project to promote the economic development of the two provinces and cities. At the same time, discussing and agreeing on a number of issues such as: Raising the clearance height of Binh Trieu 1 and Binh Phuoc 1 bridges to transport goods on the Saigon River; proposing the location of the bridge over the Saigon River on the Ho Chi Minh City's Ring Road No. 4; Song Than intersection project and An Binh road upgrade and expansion project and the bridge connecting Song Than overpass, etc.

Speaking at the meeting, the PPC Chairman Vo Van Minh proposed projects to relieve traffic pressure in the bordering areas between the two localities, in which it is proposed to build Tan An bridge to solve traffic congestion in the Provincial Road No. 8 through Phu Cuong bridge connecting with Huynh Van Cu street; at the same time opening up urban development space in the area, etc.

Through the opinions of the units, Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai suggested that the departments and branches of Ho Chi Minh City urgently need to implement the contents that the two localities have agreed on. During the implementation process, it is necessary to regularly exchange to solve and remove difficulties and problems. Agreeing with the proposal to invest in 05 key traffic connection locations between Thu Duc City and Di An City, Thuan An City, he asked Ho Chi Minh City to review and include in the mid-term plan 2025-2030. Ho Chi Minh City also wants to work with Binh Duong to study urban development along the Saigon River between the two localities, especially on the Saigon River through District 12, Hoc Mon and Cu Chi districts, etc.
