At the meeting, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Loi informed about the situation of socio-economic development and investment attraction in the province. Specifically, accumulated to April 30, 2022, the province has 4,044 investment projects from 65 countries and territories with a total registered capital of 39.4 billion USD. Singapore is the third largest investor in Binh Duong with 275 projects and a total capital of 5.4 billion USD; investing mainly in the field of infrastructure development of industrial parks, production of electronic components, electrical equipment, production of pharmaceuticals, medical products and equipment, logistics and real estate, etc.

The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized that, since its establishment in 1996, the Vietnam - Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP) has become a good symbol of friendship and cooperation between the two countries Vietnam and Singapore through two partners, Becamex IDC Corp and Sembcorp Group. In Binh Duong, VSIP has greatly contributed to the development of the province and contributed to building the image of a dynamic and modern industrial development Binh Duong; at the same time creating jobs for thousands of workers.
In March 2022, Binh Duong held the groundbreaking ceremony of VSIP III with a total area of 1,000 hectares. VSIP III will focus on attracting projects that apply technology and innovation, aiming to develop into a green, smart and sustainable industrial park.
