According to the report, in the past 3 years, the City Party Committee has focused on leading, directing, and proposing timely solutions to both effectively prevent and control the pandemic, while implementing the tasks of socio-economic development and ensuring social security; implementing management solutions to restore economic development, creating conditions for enterprises to conduct production and business activities, and ensure jobs and workers' lives.

Most of the targets were implemented according to the progress compared to the Resolution, 25/41 targets achieved, 16/41 targets were close to the Resolution. The economic structure has shifted in the right direction, the growth rates of the trade - service, industry - handicraft sectors always increased in the direction that next year is higher than the previous year (up to now, the economic structure of service - industry - agriculture has shifted with the corresponding rate of 60.91% - 39.06% - 0.03%). The value of the service industry increased on average annually at 27.62% (exceeding 0.12% compared to the Resolution). Total retail sales of goods increased on average annually at 27.72% (0.04% higher than the Resolution). The value of industrial production increased on average annually at 27.27% (0.07% higher than the Resolution). 54 domestic enterprises and 368 foreign-invested enterprises were attracted (up 157 enterprises compared to the beginning of the tenure) with a total investment capital of 198,656 million USD. Total state budget revenue in the city reached 42,305 billion 365 million VND, achieving an average annual growth rate of 8%/year (reaching the target of the Resolution).

Speaking at the meeting, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Loi highly appreciated the results of Thu Dau Mot City achieved through 03 years of implementing the Resolution. The Secretary emphasized, besides the basic advantages, Thu Dau Mot city has to face many difficulties and challenges greater than forecast. Therefore, in the tenure's remaining time, the City Party Committee needs to keep a close eye on the situation, focus on leading and directing the drastic implementation of tasks and solutions to overcome difficulties; develop a plan with a very specific roadmap to continue striving to fulfill the targets and tasks set out by the Resolution of the City Party Congress for the 2020-2025 tenure. Specifically, continuing to do better in adjusting the general planning of Thu Dau Mot city and managing the planning in order to create driving force and leverage for the city's development, while also mobilizing and promoting all resources for the province's general development. The city's general planning must adhere to the provincial planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050. In the immediate future, focusing on local adjustment of high-rise construction in Thu Dau Mot city, meeting current requirements. Implementing synchronously solutions to renovate and embellish old urban areas, building and developing new urban areas, associated with the process of building province's smart cities. Focusing on leading and drastically directing the disbursement of public investment capital, taking advantage of mobilizing resources to continue developing synchronous transport infrastructure, connecting with key transport projects of the province, forming a continuous traffic network, expanding the connection of the Region. Along with speeding up the implementation of traffic works in the West - Northwest of the city (Tuong Binh Hiep ward, Hiep An ward), it is necessary to urgently complete investment procedures and carry out the compensation and site clearance for the road along the Saigon river from Thu Dau Mot city to Thuan An city to expand and develop urban space and serve tourism, etc.
