Speaking at the webinar, Mr. Mai Hung Dung said, Binh Duong province has always been evaluated as one of the leading provinces and cities in the country in terms of socio-economic development and the speed of attracting foreign direct investment (FDI). The gross regional domestic product (GRDP) of the province has always achieved a relatively high growth rate compared to the average growth rate of the entire country. Up to now, the province has attracted 37 billion USD in foreign investment with more than 4,000 projects. In which, Taiwan has invested in 853 projects with a total registered capital of over 6.2 billion USD, ranking first among 65 countries and territories with investment projects in Binh Duong.

As one of the strongly developed industrial provinces of Vietnam, Binh Duong province is constantly improving the investment environment, enhancing competitiveness and strengthening support for business development through the improvement of socio-economic infrastructure system such as: Traffic, water supply, electricity, environmental treatment, simplifying administrative procedures, planning to expand industrial parks, creating a clean land fund for investment attraction; deploying human resource training, building social housing, housing for workers, providing adequate and timely labor resources for enterprises to invest in the province. Talking at the webinar, Taiwanese enterprises were especially interested in entry procedures for foreigners during the Covid-19 situation; regulations on granting work permits to foreigners; labor recruitment; regulations related to import and export, etc. Leaders of the Department of Foreign Affairs, the Industrial Zones Authority, the Tax Department, and the Customs Department of the province specifically answered questions from enterprises.
