This year's contest received 121 participating projects, including 76 projects of secondary school students and 45 projects of high school students. Research projects revolve around embedded systems, system software, robotics and intelligent machines, social and behavioral sciences, etc.
The competition is an intellectual playground, providing high school students with opportunities to do scientific research; innovating techniques and technologies and applying knowledge of subjects to solving practical problems; contributing positively to renovate teaching and learning methods in schools. As assessed by the Organizing Committee, the contest's projects this year are all more creative, elaborate and quality, showing that the students' scientific research process has been seriously and effectively deployed.

As a result, the Organizing Committee selected 22 best projects to award, of which 02 projects won first prizes and are representatives of Binh Duong province to participate in the National S&T Contest which is scheduled to be held in March 2021.

province in the 2020-2021 school year:
- First prize: “Automatic temperature measurement and disinfection
equipment combined with smart attendance” project by co-authors Nguyen Thanh
Tai and Le Thi Thuong - Nguyen Van Cu Secondary School; “Crop data collection
and management system at farms” project by co-authors Do Xuan Duy and Vo Van
Cuong - Hung Vuong High School for the Gifted.
- Second prize: “Antibacterial air purification system” project by
co-authors Tran Trung Hieu and Vu Nguyen Anh Khoa - Binh Phu Secondary School; “Multipurpose
sterilization chamber system” project by co-authors Nguyen Thi Ngoc Han and
Nguyen Dang Tai - My Phuoc Secondary School; “Research on technology of
manufacturing Composite materials from scrap coconut leaves and synthetic
adhesive” project by author Nguyen Phuc Khang - Hung Vuong High School for the
Gifted; “Hydroos - Open source operating system for Vietnamese people” project by
co-authors Le Minh Tri and Tran Khanh Binh - Dau Tieng High School.
