Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung said that, although there were many difficulties in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, under the leadership of the Party, the flexible administration of the Government, Vietnam has achieved many great achievements. The pandemic prevention and control have been implemented effectively, the economy continues to grow and is one of the 10 countries with the highest economic growth in the world, etc. This achievement has enormous contribution from all strata of the people, including the important contribution from labor - workers' force. According to Minister Dao Ngoc Dung, Binh Duong province has done well its dual goal of both preventing and controlling the pandemic and developing the economy. Typically with more than 80% of labors being from outside the province, Binh Duong has always cared for the material and spiritual life of the labors. Using expenditure from the budget to present tens of thousands of gifts to labors in extremely difficult circumstances who cannot afford to return home for Tet holiday. Minister Dao Ngoc Dung assessed that the Binh Duong Labor Confederation has implemented many forms of timely support for more than 300,000 workers and labors in difficult circumstances, fatal diseases, occupational accidents or job loss. Deploying a loan package of 50 billion VND to support workers and labors affected by the pandemic, and support people affected by floods in Central provinces. Currently, Trade Unions and enterprises are doing well in preparing vehicles for workers to return home for Tet holiday and preparing gifts to thank workers' families. Minister Dao Ngoc Dung suggested that the local authorities, Trade unions and enterprises continue to well implement welfare programs for the labors. So that, the labors will stick with enterprises, with Binh Duong province and consider this as their second hometown.

At the program, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung and leaders of Binh Duong province and the Trade Union presented 150 gifts, including necessities and 1 million VND in cash, to workers and labors in difficult circumstances.

According to the Binh Duong provincial Labor Confederation, in the coming days, the Trade Union levels will continue to present tens of thousands of gifts to labors in difficult circumstances working in enterprises in the province. The Binh Duong provincial Labor Confederation will also organize to give free bus tickets to 4,000 workers and labors in difficulties to return home to celebrate Tet with their families. In addition, the Labor Confederation will also coordinate with the units to take care of the material and spiritual life for about 250,000 labors who stay in Binh Duong to celebrate the Lunar New Year of Tan Suu 2021.
