On behalf of provincial leaders, Secretary of provincial Party Committee Tran Van Nam wished the Delegation achieve a successful business trip in Binh Duong province. He affirmed that, Binh Duong always highly appreciated the cooperation model between Sembcorp Group and Becamex IDC for over the past 20 years. The proof of this successful cooperation is the model of Vietnam - Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP), which has become a symbol of friendship between the governments of Vietnam and Singapore. The brand and success of VSIP are increasingly affirmed and present in many provinces and cities of Vietnam. He said that, Binh Duong is aiming for sustainable development, thus foreign investment attraction is also considered to meet the development requirements of the province. He hoped that, Sembcorp Group will continue to implement new development strategies and models to meet the development requirements of Vietnam generally and Binh Duong province particularly, at the same time affirming VSIP brand in the international market.

In response to Secretary of Provincial Party Committee Tran Van Nam, Mr. Neil McGregor thanked for the support of Binh Duong provincial authorities for creating a motivation for Sembcorp to constantly develop during the past time. Mr. Neil McGregor said, in the future, the Group will invest in developing real estate projects in urban housing and creating more value-added projects, particularly high technology application, renewable energy sources and clean energy, environmental protection. At the meeting, Chairman of provincial People's Committee Tran Thanh Liem briefly introduced socio-economic development achievements of the province, particularly provincial investment attraction results in 2018 were quite high and basically achieved the objectives of the period 2016-2020. He said that, Singapore ranked 3rd among countries and territories investing in Binh Duong, with 235 projects; at the same time, he emphasized that, in the past years, the cooperation relationship between Singapore and Vietnam has become stronger, thereby creating favorable conditions for investors to invest in the province. VSIP model is highly appreciated in Vietnam and plays an important role in economic development in many provinces and cities. He hoped that, in the coming time, the cooperation between the two countries as well as between Becamex IDC and Sembcorp Group will become better.
