At the working session, the delegation shared the TOD models being implemented in Japan, notably the urban TOD model and suburban TOD model. Japan has effectively applied these two TOD models over the years. Therefore, the delegation proposed a project to promote TOD utilizing smart technologies in Binh Duong New City (Binh Duong NC) and expressed its desire to cooperate with the province in deploying transportation-related technologies in Binh Duong NC, such as self-driving vehicles on public roads, liberalization of modes of transport (issuance of electric vehicle licenses, public road driving licenses), and operation of small-scale mobility vehicles.

Mr. Nguyen Anh Minh welcomed the delegation's proposal and stated that Binh Duong Province is considering the implementation of two urban railway projects: Binh Duong Urban Railway Line No. 1, connecting to Ho Chi Minh City's Urban Railway Line No. 1 from Suoi Tien Station, and the 127.45km Bau Bang - Thi Vai - Cai Mep industrial railway line, which will be funded by ODA. He expressed his hope that the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan would support Binh Duong in researching and implementing a suitable model for the province's development.
