At the meeting, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Loi welcomed the delegation and thanked Mr. Rajkumar Ranjan Singh for taking the time to attend the Horasis India Meeting 2022 - an important event for Binh Duong province as well as Vietnamese and international enterprises.
Talking to the delegation, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee briefly introduced the socio-economic situation of Binh Duong province. Over the years, Binh Duong has always been evaluated as one of the leading provinces and cities nationwide in terms of socio-economic development and the speed of foreign direct investment (FDI) attractment. Currently, the province has 4,069 investment projects from 65 countries and territories with a total registered capital of nearly 40 billion USD. In which, India has 10 projects with a total investment capital of 116 million USD.
Binh Duong has experienced a crisis due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Until the end of 2021, the pandemic situation was controlled; economy - society, people's life returned to normal and new progress has been made.

Currently, Binh Duong is focusing on investing in building and developing infrastructure, especially traffic infrastructure to connect to seaports and airports, and at the same time developing modern urban infrastructure. With the orientation of building a smart city, green growth and sustainable development, Binh Duong always follows the direction of the Government and is flexible and creative to raise the bar and develop a new generation of industry - urban - service, overcoming the middle income trap in the coming time.
The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee said that, with the existing strengths of the two countries, there are still many untapped potentials in bilateral trade and investment. Therefore, Binh Duong hoped that, in its position, Mr. Rajkumar Ranjan Singh and the Indian diplomatic agencies in Vietnam will help Binh Duong province invite Indian investors as well as expand cooperation and comprehensive understanding in all fields. Mr. Rajkumar Ranjan Singh thanked the provincial leaders for the warm welcome to the delegation and expressed his delight at the strong growth of Binh Duong after the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as the efficient operation of some Indian enterprises in the province.
Mr. Rajkumar Ranjan Singh especially emphasized the importance of promoting deeper economic and trade relations between the two countries Vietnam - India; at the same time, encouraged Indian enterprises to actively explore and invest in Vietnam and Binh Duong in terms of "green" development, food industry, digital technology, healthcare and education, etc. The year 2022 also marks the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Vietnam and India, and he believed that the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries will not stop growing in the coming time.
