In April 2021, the Provincial People's Committee urgently finalized the draft strategic breakthrough programs, projects and plans to implement the Resolution of the 11th Provincial Party Congress; implement the election work; prevent and control the Covid-19 pandemic; monitor the situation of enterprises, labors and remove difficulties for production and business.
The socio-economic situation continued to achieve many important results; the provincial competitiveness index in 2020 markedly improved; traffic accident reduced all 03 criteria; security, politics, social order and safety were maintained.
Accordingly, the Index of Industrial Production (IIP) in April 2021 was estimated to increase 4.5% over the previous month and increase 12.6% over the same period in 2020.
The province has actively developed and implemented plans and solutions to stockpile essential goods, stabilize the market, focus on market management, smuggling prevention and combat and trade management. Estimated total retail sales of goods and service revenue reached 21,128 billion VND, up 1.2% over the previous month and 22.1% over the same period in 2020.
Export turnover was estimated at 03 billion USD, down 6.2% over the previous month and up 81.3% over the same period. Import turnover was estimated at 02 billion 295 million USD, up 0.5% over the previous month and 46.1% over the same period in 2020.
As of April 15, 2021, domestic investment attracted 21,196 billion VND of registered business capital, with 833 newly registered enterprises. Foreign investment attracted 65 million USD, including 6 new projects (7.7 million USD).

Along with that, the province has promptly and fully implemented regimes and policies for social policy beneficiaries, workers, poor households, and children; implemented an overall review plan on issues related to poor and near-poor households (housing, employment, access to basic services, etc.) for timely support solutions.
The meeting also approved the following contents: Proposal of the Provincial People's Committee and draft Resolution of the Provincial People's Council providing for the collection rates, collection, payment, management and use of fees for selection and recognition of leading trees, varieties and forest seed orchards in the province; proposal to develop the Resolution of the Provincial People's Council regulating the regime to support the Population and family planning work in the province; Decision on the issuance of the Project to establish a Mobile Team to handle traffic incidents.
Concluding the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hoang Thao acknowledged the efforts of all levels, branches, units and localities in continuing to perform "dual task" of both preventing and controlling the Covid-19 pandemic and ensuring the socio-economic development goals over the past time, the economic situation is growing well, the social sector has achieved positive results. This is a good premise for the successful implementation of the task in 2021.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee asked departments, branches and localities to be more drastic in Covid-19 pandemic prevention and control. In the public administrative reform, it is necessary to better coordinate, promote the results achieved on the PCI and focus on improving the PAPI; continue to prepare well for election work; research on solutions to speed up the disbursement of public investment capital, etc. Particularly for the Proposal on establishing a Mobile Team to handle traffic incidents, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee noted that some additional contents need to be added to complete.
