promotion of trade and goods circulation from Cat Lai Port in Ho Chi Minh City
to My Phuoc Industrial Park in Bau Bang.
According
to experts, the My Phuoc - Tan Van Highway, after opening for the second phase
connecting with the first phase, will save time and cost at about 30% for
businesses wishing to transport goods as compared to the route of National
Highway 13. While National Highway 13 is being considered to be upgraded,
expanded and built along with a number of intersections and overpasses to avoid
congestion, the completion of the entire route of My Phuoc - Tan Van Highway is
expected by businesses and transport units. My Phuoc - Tan Van Highway since
its official use in the first phase as brought positive effects to the lives of
the people as well as the socio-economic situation of Binh Duong. The route
rarely passes through densely populated areas, so it is one of the favorable
conditions to limit congestion and ensure the speed of traffic.
My Phuoc – Tan Van road is going to be opened
The My Phuoc - Tan Van route going through the area will be
held for traffic, this is an event where the people of Ben Cat town is looking
forward to. The locality has high expectation that the traffic will create
momentum for urban development in the localities where the route goes,
especially to facilitate production, business and export activities of local
enterprises.
Over
the past time, the locality has also actively mobilized and propagated to
households in the clearance area to hand over the site to the construction
unit. Most households see the importance of the project that contributes to
change the urban appearance and create a driving force for the local
socio-economic development. Through many forms of advocacy and propaganda, most
of the people agreed with the compensation and clearance policies and received
a very high consensus. There are 2 households in Quarter 7B of Chanh Phu Hoa
ward, due to on-progress building houses, committed to relocate and hand over
the site to the construction unit by the end of this March.
My
Phuoc - Tan Van Highway is a project invested with socialized capital by
Becamex IDC Corporation. During the operation period, all expenses for the
maintenance of roadbeds, road surfaces, trees, sidewalks, drainage and lighting
systems are entirely covered by Becamex IDC Corporation without using the
provincial budget.
In
order to improve traffic capacity for the roads, Binh Duong provincial People's
Council has just approved the project of creating landscape and solving traffic
congestion on the roads of My Phuoc - Tan Van, DT746, DT747B, DT743 (O&M
project). The project invested by Becamex IDC Corporation has accounted for
total estimated investment of VND 9,623 billion. In which, the expected cost of
construction of toll station is VND 48 billion, road surface repair VND 613
billion, ground clearance VND 1,238 billion. The project is evaluated in
accordance with the regional transport development planning for the key
economic zone of the South to 2020, with orientation to 2030 and master plan of
transport to 2020 with orientation to 2030 of Binh Duong provincial People's
Committee. The scale and preliminary design plan of the project has been agreed
by Department of Transport. The items in the project do not coincide with the
items of the project of "Improvement of public transport infrastructure in
Binh Duong". The project is suitable for smart city planning as well as
modern urban transport planning.
It
can be said that the investment into this route from socialized capital has
been an active and creative way of Binh Duong. The route has made a significant
contribution to reduction of traffic congestion. However, according to experts,
in order to avoid overloaded roads at peak hours, it is necessary to quickly
invest into expanding and building intersections of different levels such as
flyovers and tunnels. The implementation of the above O&M projects proves
that Binh Duong continues to implement the policy of "socialization"
in mobilizing and attracting social resources for investment into transport infrastructure
development to serve socio-economic development and people's life in the area.
