At the conference, the Minister of Planning and Investment presented a report on the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, challenges and opportunities, business development opportunities and notified the basic content of the draft Government Resolution on removing difficulties for production and business, promoting disbursement of public investment capital, ensuring social order and safety. The second report is presented by the President of Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) which summarize the recommendations and initiatives of enterprises and business associations; evaluate the effectiveness and level of reception of enterprises to supportive solutions and policies of the Government, and propose solutions to support enterprises.
Also in the conference, the business community, associations and experts shared and contributed many ideas and experiences to contribute to the country's economic recovery. And the ministries, branches and localities answered the petitions and problems of enterprises on: solutions and policy proposals in the field of fiscal, tax and fee; currency, credit, interest rates to support businesses; solutions to support people, workers and employers who are facing difficulties; reform administrative procedures, improve business environment, provide online public services.

Speaking at the conference, Prime Minister Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phuc said that while many developed countries are under heavy financial burden, Vietnam has accumulated resources as recent years of favorable growth. This shows that Vietnam is not too dependent on the world market, but proving that the endogenous capacity of the Vietnamese economy and the Vietnamese business community is immense. The Prime Minister emphasized that it is necessary to focus more on starting the economy, striving for GDP to achieve a growth rate of over 5% and control inflation below 4%. The plan is to focus on "5 armoured spearhead" to restart the economy, including: Attracting investment in domestic economic sectors, attracting FDI, boosting exports, promoting public investment, encouraging domestic consumption.
The Prime Minister asked the related parties to listen to the opinions from delegates and investors in order to solve difficulties and create conditions for development, in which aim to improve the control situation, strengthen the post-inspection and speed up the procedures for enterprises to develop, pay special attention to enterprises that have weak employees, take care of handling business petitions faster, do not slow down and lose business opportunities of enterprises, government agencies should create a favorable environment for enterprises, cooperate to support enterprises both monetary and fiscal policies, reduce the interest rates and costs.
