Attending the meeting were Mr. Nguyen Van Loi, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Leader of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Mr. Vo Van Minh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Loc, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Nguyen Van Danh, Chairman of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee of the province; along with a high-ranking delegation from Yamaguchi Prefecture (Japan), Vietnamese Ambassadors and Consuls General in various countries, and representatives of diplomatic missions.
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Minh emphasized that in 2024, Binh Duong Province has made great efforts to overcome difficulties and challenges. The province's socio-economic situation has continued to improve, achieving many positive and comprehensive results across all sectors. The Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) increased by 7.48%; GRDP per capita reached 181 million VND. Total import-export turnover reached 60 billion USD with a trade surplus of 10 billion USD.
In the year, Binh Duong attracted an additional 2.2 billion USD in foreign direct investment. As of December 15, 2024, the province had more than 4,400 investment projects from 65 countries and territories such as Japan, Singapore, South Korea, and Denmark, with a total registered capital of over 42.4 billion USD. Binh Duong is currently ranked second in the country in terms of foreign direct investment attraction, after Ho Chi Minh City.

In 2024, Binh Duong province witnessed a vibrant and diverse range of foreign affairs activities in Binh Duong province, effectively combining Party diplomacy, state diplomacy, and people-to-people diplomacy. Alongside economic diplomacy and hosting international delegations, cultural diplomacy was also promoted vigorously with various activities.
2024 marked a significant milestone as Binh Duong signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish a new friendly cooperative relationship with the city of Heidelberg (Federal Republic of Germany) and signed a Protocol with Ha Nam province (China). To date, Binh Duong has established friendly cooperative relations with 14 foreign localities and is an official member and a reliable partner of 3 international organizations. Notably, in 2023, Binh Duong was honored by the ICF as the top smart city development strategy community in the world.
The Chairman of the PPC affirmed that one of the key factors contributing to Binh Duong's successful foreign affairs is the close cooperation and enthusiastic support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Vietnamese diplomatic missions abroad, consulates general, trade offices, associations, and domestic and foreign enterprises in promoting, providing information, and introducing a friendly, dynamic, and creative Binh Duong to investors and the international community, creating opportunities for Binh Duong to consolidate and strengthen friendly relations and cooperation with international partners for sustainable development.
