According to departments and branches' reports, the Science and Technology Region project integrates a complete innovation ecosystem, allowing easy access to education and training, research and development, technology commercialization, and high-tech manufacturing activities. It also promotes the application of science and technology in highly specialized production activities in other industrial parks (IPs) as well as the entire production area of the region.

The project assembles research and development activities in the fields of science, industrial production, etc. It connects zones, sub-zones, and project buildings, encouraging interaction and linkage between sectors, agencies, and people vertically and horizontally.
At the same time, it also creates favorable opportunities for the implementation of testing and prototype production activities by concentrating institutes, universities, industries, as well as research and development agencies in IPs.

The complex zone is designed as a multi-functional development project for educational institutions, research and development centers, international corporations, and startups. It is connected with convenient transportation networks, clean energy applications, and digital technology to promote innovation.

The Science and Technology Region also has an advanced production cluster, including factories and office complexes, serving production for development projects, and applying modern technology to realize creative ideas. It transports and distributes products, goods, and services to Ho Chi Minh City effectively, thanks to its location adjacent to major highways.
There will be a Concentrated Information Technology Park, with a scale of 220 hectares, which will develop a system of science and technology IPs and modern information technology parks that meet international standards to attract domestic and foreign investment.
Priority industries attracting investment in the Concentrated Information Technology Park are software and application development, information technology and telecommunications services, research and development (R&D), training and development of information technology human resources, etc., and green industries.
At the meeting with relevant units, representatives of the leaders of the departments and branches reported on the difficulties and obstacles in implementing the project. At the same time, they proposed solutions to speed up the implementation.

After surveying and listening to the opinions of the units, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Loi emphasized that the project was very important for the development of Binh Duong province and the Southeast region. Therefore, he requested the local departments and branches to quickly complete the Provincial Planning to get the Prime Minister's approval, as a basis for implementing the construction of the Science and Technology Region and the Concentrated Information Technology Park. He also asked them to complete the application for the province's approval and assign Becamex IDC Corp. to implement the Project; develop standards for ecological industrial parks; pilot the relocation of enterprises located outside the industrial parks and clusters in the South to the North of the province; focus on developing the "core" urban space of Thu Dau Mot City; organize seminars related to semiconductor chip technology; propose to establish an ICF office in Binh Duong to connect with smart cities and regions around the world to promote investment. Becamex IDC Corp. must continue to develop urban and industrial projects according to approved plans, especially social housing projects.
The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Loi pays attention to the semiconductor industry, attracting investment in semiconductor chips, semiconductor circuit design, software technology, and new digital technology products. Therefore, he hopes that Becamex IDC Corp., Eastern International University, and related departments and branches will research and propose policies for Binh Duong to attract experts as well as train human resources to serve the semiconductor industry, leading the way to attract new generation investment.
