In comparision with the same period of 2012, industrial production continues to reach the stable growth, estimating 63,901 billion VND, rose by 11.9%. The total value of goods and services accounted for 38,579 billion VND, rising 18.7%. Consumption price index (CPI) of the first half year of 2013 rose by 1.94% against December 2012.

 

Export turnover obtained US$ 5.993, up 16.3%, in which, FDI economic sector occupied 83.4%, and a rise of 18.7%, Import turnover reached US$ 4.961billion, up 17.4%.

   

 

Thanks to applying the measures in order to augmentate the provincial budget, the expenditure for investment development and regular expenditure are ensured. The total budget revenue accounts for 14,182 billion VND, rose by 35%, reaching 49.1% the budget estimates proposed by Provincial Peoples Council. The total budget expenditure is estimated to 4,700 million VND, in which 41.3% for capital construction, fell by 4% meeting the estimations of the Provincial People’s Council.

 

The province has implemented the tax exemption and extension for business with the value of business income tax, value added tax and land use fee is 301 billion VND for 4,869 enterprises.

 

In term of credit, the total capital was mobilized 76,737 billion VND, an increase of 13.4% against the beginning of this year and last period. Outstanding loans climbed 55,199 billion VND, rose by 2.6% in comparison with the beginning of 2013 and 12.5% compared to last period; non-performing loan accounted for 1,318 billion VND, up 19.6% against the beginning of 2013, equivalent to 2.4 the total debt.

 

Domestic investment capital accounts for 6,262 billion VND, comprising of 826 new enterprises with the capital of 3,199 billion VND and 214 extension enterprises with the total capital of 3,062 billion VND. Foreign investment attracted US$ 925 million, including 63 new projects (US$593.6 million) and 69 added-capital projects (US$331.5 million).

 

 

Preferential policies for those who made contributions in wartime and social welfare beneficiaries are applied completely.

 

340 billion VND were mobilized for social welfare beneficiaries. Only in the new year of Snake 2013, 273.5 billion VND were mobilized, 08 loved houses and 77 gratitude houses were constructed, equivalent to 3.7 billion VND. Increasing the health insurance level for underprivileged residents from 70% to 100%. Currently, the province remains 3,615 underprivileged households, accounting for 1.36%. Creating jobs for 22,000 labours, reaching 55% the annual plan. Paying the unemployment allowance of 162 billion VND for 21,526 people.

   

  

 

Health care for residents are ensured, taking the consultation for 2.7 people, attaining 46% the annual proposed plan; treatment for 89 thousands inpatients, equivalents to 50.3% of the annual plan; the patient bed capacity are 90.2% for provincial levels and 71.3% for district level.

 

The province has currently 455 schools, increasing 02 kindergartens, 02 junior schools, 01 high school. Infrastructure and human resources meet principaly the demands of teaching and learning. The proportion of public school are constructed modernly is 59.6%. 23 schools meet the national standards; the percentage of national standards kindergartens and public schools reaches 43.5%.

 

Closing the school year 2012-2013, good and fair students of all levels increase, the proportion of students obtained 99.23%, up 5.8% against last school year. 100% students of 14 high schools attains high school diploma.

 

Social activities are diversified in the whole province especially in Holidays. 18 exhibition, fairs, 245 performances, films are organized serving to local people especially for workers. Sportive activities are successfully organized (sport championship at base level, the third Binh Duong International Women's Cycling Open-Biwase Cup 2013: 33 prizes and 121 medals).
