In the opening speech, Mr. Vo Van Minh - Chairman of the PPC emphasized that the Seminar will be the starting event for a number of scientific research projects, applying technology of great significance in practice such as piloting the smart village model; hi-tech agricultural tourism. The province also wished to connect and share with leaders, experts, scientists, institutes and enterprises to exchange experiences; together share with the current difficulties and challenges that the province's agricultural sector is facing, as well as gain valuable experiences and good solutions to make Binh Duong's agricultural sector more and more sustainable and modern, contributing to the effective implementation of the goals set forth by the 13th National Party Congress's Resolution and the 11th Provincial Party Party Congress's Resolution.

Speaking at the Seminar, Mr. Huynh Thanh Dat - Minister of Science and Technology highly appreciated the initiative to organize the Seminar as well as the achievements of science, technology and innovation activities of Binh Duong province, especially the great achievements in the field of high-tech agriculture in recent years. He emphasized: "Currently, Binh Duong has four hi-tech agricultural zones, which is the locality with the most hi-tech agricultural zones in the country. It can be said that there is hardly a more suitable place than Binh Duong to discuss the development of hi-tech agriculture". The Minister of Science and Technology believed that, with its potential and determination, Binh Duong will achieve more achievements in the development of high-tech agriculture and well solve the relationship between agriculture, farmers and rural areas according to the model of ecological agriculture, modern rural areas, and civilized farmers.

At the Seminar, the delegates focused on discussing the continuous improvement of policies on science, technology and innovation; hi-tech agriculture in Binh Duong, current situation and development orientation; the role of science and technology in high-tech agriculture in Binh Duong province; building the enterprise's science and technology fund, promoting the application of science and technology, creating new resilience for business; the role of microorganisms in agriculture for life and sharing the successful reality from Vinamit Organic farm; researching and transferring science and technology in high-tech agriculture at VNU Ho Chi Minh City, etc.

Speaking at the end of the Seminar, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Loi said that the Seminar is practical, close to life and people, the province will receive and record the comments, suggestions and recommendations of experts, scientists and people. He emphasized that the issue of hi-tech agricultural infrastructure must be suitable for Vietnamese people and conditions for each farmer, each organization and each farm to invest in bringing benefits. According to him, industrial parks should be established by regions to preserve, process and bring agricultural products to the world. It is also a place for scientific researchers to research and contribute to science and the Agriculture branch. He asked the functional branches to train and connect with enterprises, practical training institutes for farmers in high-tech production areas; spend resources on training high-tech agriculture.
