At the meeting, Mr. Carsten Rasmussen informed the provincial leaders about the construction progress of the new factory in Binh Duong and the upcoming milestones of Lego Group. He affirmed that the decision to choose Binh Duong as the investment and construction site for a new factory was carefully considered and is part of the Group's development strategy. Lego Group is very pleased to cooperate with the province and the Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park J.V. Co.,Ltd (VSIP) to build this modern factory, contributing to bringing new job opportunities for thousands of workers, providing more rich and quality products as well as contributing to the development of the locality. With this investment project, it will bring new and interesting play experiences for children; at the same time meet the standards of safety, green and clean environmental protection.

Mr. Carsten Rasmussen thanked the provincial government for always paying attention, sharing and accompanying the Group over the past time and hoped to continue to receive enthusiastic support from specialized agencies to ensure the implementation of the project roadmap, which is expected to come into operation in 2024.

The Chairman of the PPC said, up to now, Denmark has invested in 14 projects, mainly in the fields of processing industry, manufacturing shoes, leather bags, manufacturing toys; trading, repairing cars, motorcycles, motorbikes, etc. In which, Lego Group is one of the Danish enterprises with large investment capital in Binh Duong. Lego is one of the largest toy manufacturers in the world. Therefore, Binh Duong was very happy when Lego decided to invest in the province.

Chairman of the PPC emphasized that, in December 2021, Lego Group signed a memorandum of understanding to cooperate with VSIP to invest more than 1 billion USD in building a production factory in Binh Duong. This is the largest high-tech project since the Covid-19 pandemic invested in the province. The project uses renewable energy, solar energy and emissions of international standards, so it has a very positive impact on the environment and ecosystem. This also confirms the investment potential and advantages of Binh Duong. The provincial government will always accompany the Group to remove difficulties and speed up the construction progress of the factory; at the same time, it is believed that Lego Group will invest in production effectively and expand its scale.
