At the meeting, a representative of Viettel Group said that, as a consulting unit, Viettel is ready to accompany Binh Duong province to achieve the goal of promoting the DT Index (DTI); at the same time, solve the core issues of DT, striving by 2022, the province's DTI ranks 20th in the country (in 2020 Binh Duong ranked 31st), ranks in TOP 10 nationwide by 2025, TOP 5 by 2030.
The DT process in Binh Duong is based on three main pillars: Digital society, digital economy, and digital government. Accordingly, focusing on the key tasks of the information technology infrastructure system: Online public service portal, information security solution, shared data warehouse; provincial IOC, district OC, information security for enterprises, E-commerce platform, Industry and Trade database, broadband Internet, mobile network, etc.

Specifically, by 2025, Binh Duong will have 100% of administrative procedures carried out online at levels 3, 4 on many means, the digital economy will account for 20% of GRDP and 30% of GRDP by 2030; the proportion of the digital economy in each sector and field will reach at least 10% and reach 20% by 2030; the proportion of population with electronic payment accounts will be over 50% and over 80% by 2030; 70% of the population will have basic digital skills and 90% by 2030, etc.
To realize the province's DT goals, Viettel Group specifically proposes solutions to develop digital government, digital economy, solutions to support enterprises, develop digital society applications for people and officials. In addition, there are solutions for DT for industrial parks, DT in the field of transport and urban areas; DT in the fields of security and order, environmental resources, health, education, agriculture, etc.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha assessed that Viettel Group is one of the units with important contributions to the province's telecommunications network, especially during the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, the unit has actively coordinated to support the province. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the report of the consulting unit, and emphasized that in order for the DT process to achieve the goal, in addition to the capacity of the partner, it is necessary to have the attention of the provincial leaders, the active cooperation of departments and branches. He directed the Department of Information and Communications to review the contents proposed by the consulting unit to advise the Provincial People's Committee; in the coming time, the province will consider and have an official cooperation signing ceremony in the spirit of being ready to create all conditions for the units to implement most effectively.
