In the last 24 hours, Binh Duong recorded 4,531 new cases of Covid-19. In which, the infected cases were mainly found in blockade areas with 3,987 cases (accounting for 88%), the ratio of cases detected through community screening tests was low with only 240 cases (accounting for 5.3%); 251 cases were confirmed by PCR in the temporary isolation ward (accounting for 5.5%) and 53 cases were detected at medical facilities (accounting for 1.2%).
By residential area, Thuan An City had 2,596 cases, Ben Cat Town had 1,055 cases, Tan Uyen Town had 438 cases, Di An City had 291 cases, Thu Dau Mot City had 57 cases, Bau Bang District had 50 cases, Phu Giao District had 17 cases, Bac Tan Uyen District had 14 cases, Dau Tieng District had 02 cases, and 11 cases were outside the province.

During the day, 3,014 patients have been treated, 40 deaths occurred. Currently, Covid-19 treatment facilities in the province are treating 50,993 patients.
Since the 4th outbreak, Binh Duong has recorded 146,296 Covid-19 cases, 1,250 patients died.
The whole province has 42,323 people under concentrated isolation; 4,627 F0 cases are isolated at home. There are 1,216 blockade areas with 118,741 people.

From August 02, 2021, Binh Duong has proceeded the large-scale testing in the 2nd and 3rd phase through rapid testing and PCR testing for 4,201,946 people. According to the results, 100,027 cases were found positive (accounting for 2.38%). PCR samples were taken for 132,768 workers of 162 companies, 387 cases were found positive.
Cumulatively, the whole province reported that 1,611,560 doses of vaccine were injected (1,564,034 1st doses and 47,526 2nd doses). Binh Duong started injecting 1 million doses of Sinopharm's Vero Cell.
