Reporting to the Delegation, Dr. Nguyen Hong Chuong - Director of the Department of Health said that on July 28, Binh Duong recorded 631 new cases, an increase of 465 cases compared to July 27. It is forecasted that in the next 2 weeks, new cases will be detected, up to about 20,000 cases.
In the coming time, districts, towns and cities will actively treat and quarantine F0 and F1 cases locally, requisition all schools in the province as treatment and quarantine areas. The province is urgently implementing additional procurement packages of supplies, equipment, tests, biological products, etc., ensuring sufficient emergency response requirements to prevent outbreaks, investing in 60 more ventilators, oxygen masks, oximeter SP02, etc. for the treatment of Covid-19 patients.
The province has asked the Government, the Ministry of Health and Central agencies to continue directing and supporting the treatment force, equipment and machinery for the pandemic prevention and control and treatment of Covid-19 patients with 20,000 beds. Specifically, it is necessary to add 1,486 doctors (including 300 emergency resuscitation doctors, 1,186 general practitioners and paediatricians) and 4,014 nurses and technicians (including 600 emergency resuscitation nurses, 3,414 nurses, and technicians).

At the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Lan Hieu - Director of Hanoi Medical University Hospital said that currently Binh Duong has about 80% of asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic F0 cases. Through field surveys, the province is currently performing very well in the care and treatment of asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic F0 cases on the 1st floor (Becamex Field Hospital). No other province has done as well in taking care of F0 as in Binh Duong and the delegation will report to the Ministry of Health and the Government that this is a typical model for the entire country to implement.
Currently, Binh Duong is very convenient to have a 6-floor building, each floor has 12 oxygen and compressed air rooms, qualified as an ICU center. Immediately, the province will equip these 80 rooms to establish an ICU unit. "Currently, we have 10 doctors, experts, and 5 nurses who have graduated from nursing major, who have been assigned to support emergency resuscitation for the province", Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Lan Hieu said.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister of Health Tran Van Thuan said that currently, Binh Duong's goal needs to firmly keep the "green zone" and must change the "red zone" to the "orange zone" and change the "yellow zone" to the "green zone".
During the past time, the province has performed well the care of mildly symptomatic, asymptomatic F0 cases and should promote this strength. However, the Ministry of Health asked the province to quickly complete equipment and testing machines, especially continue to perfect the existing ICU unit with 200 beds. It is proposed that the province and the Ministry of Health agree on a suitable location to organize and build an ICU center for the province and for the entire Southeast region.
