In the first 6 months of 2020, with the efforts and unanimity of the whole Party, people and army of Thuan An City, the basic targets have been achieved compared to the Resolution proposed. The value of industrial production in the province is estimated at VND 119,500 billion, up 7% over the same period, reaching 48% of the Resolution assigned by the City People's Council. Total retail sales of goods and services are estimated at VND 37,750 billion (up 17% over the same period), reaching 48% compared to the Resolution assigned by the People's Council. The total area of fruit trees is 1,170 ha, developing urban agriculture with an area of 45,084 ha/313 households. The city deployed 7 irrigation works with a total budget of VND 14 billion; project on picking water hyacinth and cleaning 173 canals with a total budget of VND 3 billion, etc.
The Party building has been focused on all aspects of politics, ideology, organizing to renovating the mode of operation, contributing to promoting the Party's leadership on all aspects and fields of life.
Speaking at the Conference, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Tran Thanh Liem highly appreciated the results that Thuan An City achieved in the first 6 months of 2020. The Chairman of the provincial People's Committee noted that the Party Committee of Thuan An City should focus on strengthening the state management of urban development, granting construction permits in association with strengthening inspection; continue to perform key tasks and solutions on state budget estimates and complete socio-economic targets by 2020. Particularly care about the organization of the Thuan An City Party Congress for the term 2020-2025; have plans to ensure political security, social order and safety; focus on absolutely protecting the security and safety of the Party Congress at all levels, towards the 13th National Party Congress, etc.
On this occasion, Thuan An City Party Committee announced and presented Party Badges to 6 members from 40 to 55-year Party membership; announced the commendation decision of the Provincial Party Committee to 01 collective and 24 individuals; City Party Committee commended 08 collectives and 17 individuals for Party work; commended 08 collectives for successfully completing the inspection and supervision in 2019.
