The goals of adjusting the Planning on agriculture, forestry and fishery are: agricultural development with many economic components; sustainable and comprehensive development; agriculture building high-tech applications; further promote the internal restructuring of agricultural sector along direction of urban agriculture, hi-tech agriculture and ecological agriculture. Planning adjustment on agriculture, forestry and fishery determines further development of agriculture, forestry and fishery in two regions (South and North), however, there is an adjustment of development orientation of each region and actualization into sub-regions. Specifically, the Southern area has a total area of 68,877 hectares including Thu Dau Mot, Thuan An, Di An, Ben Cat, Tan Uyen, will develop ecological agriculture model, less land use, high technology application. Priority should be given to the development of flower, ornamental plants, urban greenery, ornamental plants, safe vegetable production using high technologies, specialty fruit trees (mangosteen, grapefruit). The Northern area has a total area of 200,586 hectares including 4 districts: Bac Tan Uyen, Bau Bang, Phu Giao and Dau Tieng will form and develop rubber cultivation areas, specialty fruit trees, safe vegetables, concentrated livestock areas for farms and businesses with mode of industrial breeding; build a modern slaughterhouse for cattle and poultry, associated with preliminary processing and processing; build hi-tech agricultural parks, a special fruit orchard model in combination with eco-tourism; freshwater aquaculture... - The period of
2016-2020: The value of agricultural, forestry and fishery production will
increase by 3.5-4% per year on average. The structure of agricultural production
value includes: 47% cultivation, 48% animal husbandry, 5% agriculture services.
- The period of
2021-2025: The production value of agriculture, forestry and fishery will
increase by 3-3.5%. The structure of agricultural production value includes:
46% cultivation, 48.5% animal husbandry, 5.5% agricultural service.
