​At the ceremony, Mr. Tran Thanh Liem - Chairman of the PPC said, with the policy of boosting economic restructuring, Binh Duong has achieved great progress in socio-economic development. Up to now, the industry and service sectors of the province account for nearly 97% of economic structure; annual economic growth rate is double of the whole country. Achieved this success, the province has taken creative steps, mobilizing domestic and foreign resources for economic development.

Chairman of the PPC highly appreciated the contribution of foreign investment businesses to economic development of the province, including Italian businesses, especially attention and facilitation of the Consulate General of the Republic of Italy during the past time. From 2015, Binh Duong has signed cooperation with Emilia Romana Region of Italy Republic. The two sides have developed cooperative plans and programs in fields of hi-tech industry development, smart city building...

With these achievements, the Chairman of the PPC acknowledged and thanked for great contributions of Mrs. Carlotta Colli - Consulate General of the Republic of Italy in Ho Chi Minh City. At the same time, in the new position, Mrs. Carlotta Colli continues to be the bridge for the development of cooperation between Vietnam - the Republic of Italy in general and Binh Duong province with localities of the Republic of Italy in particular.

Mrs. Carlotta Colli expressed her delight at receiving the Certificate of Merit from the PPC and thanked provincial leaders for creating favorable conditions for Italian businesses to invest effectively in Binh Duong. She pledged to continue calling for Italian businesses to invest in Binh Duong, especially those who can participate in the construction of Binh Duong Smart City; develop friendly relations between Binh Duong province and localities of the Republic of Italy.
