Attending the event were Nguyen Xuan Vang, Head of the International Cooperation Department under the Ministry of Education and Training; Boris Rhein, Minister for Science and the Arts of Germany's Hessen state; Christian Berger, German Ambassador to Vietnam.
In the 2016-2017 academic year, VGU has additional 163 fresh students and 89 post graduates in 10 majors. The school has organized 11 majors at university and postgraduate levels after 8 years of operation. It now trains more than 1,260 students at university and post graduate levels. So far, there have been nearly 400 students graduating from it and most of them have got stable jobs at domestic and foreign firms.

At the ceremony, the school also granted graduation certificates to 44 graduates and post-graduates in majors. This is the sixth graduation course of the school.
