Attending the congress was over 1,500 delegates representing over 4.5 million Party members.
The 12th
National Party Congress was under the theme of intensifying the
building up of strong Party organization with promotion of people’s
power and socialism, thorough reforms, national defense, peace and
stability maintenance, and the efforts to modernize and industrialize
the nation basically.

Attending the 12th
National Party Congress was the guests who are all-time former leaders
of CPV, representatives of Vietnamese heroic mothers, scholars,
intellectual and religious persons, embassadors of nations and chief
representatives of international organizations and diplomat missions in
Ha Noi.
At
the congress, Truong Tan Sang, the member of Politburo and State’s
President stressed: “In this moment of history and by the utmost
gratitude, we remember the great President Ho Chi Minh, the great tutor
of Vietnamese revolution and the founder and trainer of CPV, the hero of
people’s liberation, the international cultural figure, the model
international communist soldier. His ideology and Marxism-Leninism have
become the guidance for the pathway and actions of CPV.
On delivering the political report of the 11th tenure Central Committee of CPV at the 12th
National Congress, Nguyen Phu Trong, the General Secretary, informed of
tremendous achievements in 30 years of reforms holding significant
meaning of socialism construction and socialist nation protect. This
affirms reforming doctrine of the CPV as righteous and creative actions
on making the nation socialism in accordance with reality in Vietnam and
history tendancy. The achievements and experience and the lesson of
reality have become significant foundation for continual reforms and
strong development in years to come.
In 5 years, the implementation of the 11th
tenure resolution of National Congress and the overcome of challenges
and drawbacks, the potientials have been improved; macroeconomy has been
stabilized as inflation has been under control; economic growth has
been maintain reasonably ever since 2013 with year-on-year improvements.
The reforms of new growth model, the restructuring of the economy and
the implementation of 3 strategic breakthrough have eyed rational
effects. The Party has pursued key tasks of Party building seriously
made in all 3 strategic contents of politics, ideology, and organization
to obtain significant results. The Party has been maintained in terms
of political and revolutionary nature and determination for the targets
and ideology of people’s independence and socialism firmly to reforms
and well-worthy of leading force of the State and society.
The
speech addresses major tasks of Party building and the construction of
lean political system safety, determination of independence protection,
sovereignty of the nation, peace and stability maintenance, and
attraction of of public power, creativity, and potentials. Spiritual and
material life have been concentrated in terms of emergency. Social
development management has been enhanced; social security along with
promotion of people’s owning rights and promotion of people’s unity.
Human factors in all aspects of social life are promoted to construct
good cultural life.
The 12th
National Party Congress is of unity, democracy, discipline, and
reforms, affirming the determination to thoroughly promote reforms for
fast and sustainable development of the nation. The reality, the grand
achievements, and lessons learned in 30 years of reforms and 5 years of
the 11th tenure resolution of National Party Congress are
solid foundation for the Party to make righteous decision, opening up
the new development stage of glory and delight for the nation and the

have followed the news and saw that by leadership of the Party,
socio-economic status in the nation has been prominent with good
economic growth in 5 years and developing culture and society. Social
welfare has been ensured and people’s lives have been improved. The
social and political status has been stable while nation defense and
security have been enhanced. The independence and sovereignty have been
maintained along with people’s unity. I am hopeful that the 12th
Congress will include righteous leadership to reform the nation and
successfully integrate into the world, bringing wealth and prosperity to

many years, by the implementation of international charters, we have
made rational negotiation and signed various free trade agreements to
expand exportation and promote foreign investment for development. The
signing of Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) has not only helped Vietnam
promote trade and services with member nations but also offered
opportunities for foreign investments to strongly flow from nations in
and outside of TPP. Thus, we are hopeful that in the new tenure, the
leaders of the Party and the nation will be prepared for their

they can devote more as the major force of nation construction and
